Riot While the trinity changes are nice...

There are a few things that are potential issues.

  1. 20% CDR from the item. 10% is fine but 20% is pushing it a bit on the strong side and being one of those pesky Irelia players I admit to this likely being too good from Trinity on it's own. CDR is often one of the main focuses for maxing in the first 3 items since it allows for the most up time on Hiten and more slows/stuns from equilibrium strike. Other items also allow for this stat to be gained elsewhere.

  2. Movement speed appearing out of nowhere. Yes I know some items have this appear out of nowhere but Sheen could easily have the 10% CDR replaced with 5% movement speed. IBG getting 5% movement speed in place of 10% of the CDR would also be completely fine for the item. If anything this would make the differences better defined between IBG and frozen heart. Lich bane already has 7% movement speed so a simple change of a fiendish codex for the current Aether Wisp in the Lich bane build path would leave the item completely unchanged in it's final form.

SO what would be gained with the lost of the 10% CDR on current PBE trinity? 5 AD and 3% movement speed; make it back to 30 AD and 8% movement speed like it was last season. If that is not enough make the attack speed a multiple of 3 by making it 45%.

I still think it should've used Recurve Bow instead of Stinger.

Giving it an on-hit damage passive would've given it 3 passives, on top of having 3 components (and potentially having a combine cost of 333), plus giving it a bit of on-hit damage makes up for the loss of the 25 AP on Jax.

I'm more concerned with the crit going away tbh, but I don't play Jax or Irelia

The PBE Tri-Force changes are experimental, and I somewhat have a mixed bag on the changes. On one hand GP (my favorite champ) loses out on 20% crit, but on the other, it could actually become viable on Illaoi Poppy and bring champs likeJax into the spotlight again. The CDR and AS buff actually could be a net buff to GP as well, so we have to see how these changes pan out, if they make it through to live.

As an irelia main I hope these changes won't go through live. I would hate to see my main banned.

This is going to mess up corki's build. He has 2 essential builds, Essence Reaver and Tri force, which would give corki a total of 50% cdr if you buy 1 more critical item. So corki is forced to not buy another critical item in order to prevent the misuse of gold when buying, or sacrifice an entire item slot altogether if he wants to be critical based. (he's critical based)

I feel like they need to versions of trinity force, of course each would be its own item, but act similarly to trinity. One for auto attack bruisers who have some damage moves they use, and then one for squishy AD/crit/caster types.

Trinity cannot cover both types of champions. Or maybe trinity can, but the squishy crit/caster based champs will need some farily significant buffs to offset the loss of trinities crit synergy
