If Anivia was complained about due to E>R, then...

Why is Viktor's Q>auto never talked about (especially when Anivia was basically gutted because the boards cried about her E>R). Both are similar range, but Viktor's takes up one ability slot, while also giving a speed boost and a shield... Not only that, but it bursts harder, and has no condition it needs to meet to be successful.

I legitimately watched a Viktor Q>auto one shot our ADC. Granted our ADC was behind. But I still don't understand how Anivia can get riots and mobs at her door, which actually got her nerfed, when Viktor still gets as stupid of damage, while also being equally as good at teamfights and zone control (and has even better waveclear.....)

I just don't get why there was such harsh backlash to Anivia (who has been fine for 6 years), and yet everyone forgets Viktor is just as bad, while also being more frustrating in lane (E after E after E).

Viktor q auto doesn't do that unless he's fed. Anivia did obscene damage even with just a catalyst and a tear.

the difference is that anivia is never mobile. anivia doesn't even have a speed boost, and her only stun is a slow skillshot. meanwhile, viktor can Q a minion and run at you at mach 5 with a shield and still do high damage, PLUS he can E under your feet and win the trade. Yes, a skilled anivia can find ways to wall you off and get you in her Zone of Pain, but viktor's Q is definitely bullshit. why is so much of his power lumped in to a point and click ability?

That E is also much better waveclear than Anivia can ever hope to have. So he can E the wave, then seconds later E you while you attempt to keep up with his waveclear

They're two different champs that work two different ways.

I could complain about a lot of things for instance at least Viktor dies when you outplay him, Anivia usually takes having another person with you to even secure a kill.

These champs have different mechanics and playstyles. Anivia was nerfed because as a champ despite her complete lack of mobility she was incredibly safe for the insane amount of damage she put out at all stages of the game with very low counter play involved. Thats not to say however that Viktor hasn't received a boat load of nerfs in his lifetime because he has.....

viktors bonus damage on laser was made more dodgeble too afaik, it was long ago

anivia's damage wasn't nerfed, it was made more dodgeable

Her damage was actually nerfed. Her ult now takes 3 seconds to do as much damage before this mini rework. I used to top damage charts, but now I feel like that damage was halved. In most teamfights, her damage is delayed by 2 seconds unless she gets a lucky q. So for most situations, it was nerfed.

i can say then that viktors damage was nerfed because the empowered burst on his dead ray was delayed by 0.4 sec more it's 1 sec from 0.6 sec

Yes, but Anivia also lost damage for the first 3 seconds of her ult... which was unnecessary. That be like if Viktor had to have his ult go through 2-3 tics before doing full damage on it's tics.

Because Viktor has to invest gold into item 3197 item 3100 and get fed. Lich ins't an early buy either. That late in the game, shit, let's get it over with already.

They Anivia changes pretty much made her pre 6 completely non threatening. She has a worse pre 6 than kassadin.

Its totally not. Damage reductions have made her butt. Her post 6 is also worse, yeah. But her pre 6 sucks.

Yes, but pre-6 always has.... These recent changes did next to nothing in terms of her pre 6...

She has received ratio and base dmg nerfs before this most recent change, but nothing in the e-delay change did anything to her pre-6.
