Serious petition to nerf ADC
As an ADC/Support main, I completely agree with the community on the statement that ADC needs to be nerfed.
What ALSO needs to happen is this tho:
- No
- FUCKING
- COMPENSATION
- BUFFS.
The reason the state of the game is so bad right now is because this is Rito Logic here:
"Hey man, Ardent Censor is way too broken."
"Yeah, I gotcha, lets break it."
"Buuuuuuuuuuut, ADC's can't fight without it, it will hurt them!"
"You make a good point, how's this?"
All ADC buffed by 6 AD, less cost on all essential items
All Riot staff: "PERFECTTT!!!"
The state of the game would never have gotten to this point if compensation buffs weren't a thing. Change one thing, let it sit for a patch to see exactly where all the pieces fell, then begin to cement things back together, but in a less broken way. Hotfixes should only be a thing if Riot deems them worthy, not because all the ADC fanboys (including myself, but I don't vent about ADC on the boards too much) complain that it doesn't work for them.
In our current scenario, there are a few situations that could fix the problem with ADC, but would cause massive panic for other roles.
- Increase costs to AD items.
- Reduce damage on ranged AD items (e.g. RFC)
- Give melee champions a bonus when buying situational items.
- [Probably the best situation] nerf base damage and scaling of ALL ADC champions.
TL;DR: Do away with compensation buffs until you have ~1-2 weeks worth of data to determine if something went to complete shit. Nerf ADC so other roles can carry. Lower scaling on ADC and base stats.
