Why Isn't Lee Fun Anymore?

I'm not sure what it is, but I haven't seen much Lee Sin. And every time I play him I lose. Is it because I suck? Probably. But there's another reason. Lee was my main from seasons 3-5, and I was never extremely good at him, but I did have my prime. Now every game I play, I go 5-1 in the first 10-12 minutes, and then I just slowly fall off, become obsolete, and can't do enough damage to kill/can't peel for my teammates enough.

I'd love for any help/advice on how to improve with him. He's seriously such an awesome champ, I just have not had a good season at all with him.

Because right now tanks are popular and they do what lee does (setup cc, peel) with a lot more durability in the mid/lategame. Fighters in general aren't that strong right now, except J4 but half the time he's built full tank.

Everyone plays Lee Sin because he is "fun." Suddenly he is not meta, is he no longer "fun" because I don't see him ever.

Sorry I thought this was a social commentary on how every Lee Sin main ever used to say he falls but they play him because he is fun. Even though people are clearly not playing him anymore because now he is really falling off.
