A tip or two on countering Yasuo.
Here's some tips for countering Yasuo for those of you who are pissed the fuck off about him.
-
Take away his minions. His E is on a 0.1 second cooldown, right? But here's the kicker: He can't dash through nothing. So if you pick your fights wisely you can take away most of his mobility. Fight him in between minion waves, or bait him out into the jungle if you're going to straight 1v1 him. If you can't manage to do that, remember: His mobility is completely predictable! You always know where he will end up if he dashes towards you. Position accordingly. If he's on the left side of a minion wave, you should probably move to the left because if he dashes through the minion, he'll end up on the right side of the wave.

MONITOR HIS Q. VERY important. It's very easy to figure out when Yasuo has 2 stacks of Q. He makes a nice sound effect that sounds like a high-pitched "ding" sound. It lasts for about 1 second. Even if you have your sound on mute, there are glorious particles surrounding him when he has his tornado up. His Q is pretty easy to dodge if you have the range on him. BUT: Extended melee fights with him are VERY dangerous because he can pick up 2 stacks quickly. If you are melee battling for longer than 4-5 seconds or you hear / see his tornado cues, BACK OFF (unless you're Fiora or have QSS). Bait out the tornado then go back in. If you have significantly more HP than him try to get on his side (i.e. your back against enemy nexus) so he can't Q to escape.

Know his wall. Assume his wall blocks everything. It may not, but you have to assume because it blocks a LOT of things that it shouldn't. It has a long cooldown; Yasuo doesn't build CDR for a meta build so it will remain about 18 seconds. If you're melee, especially if you're someone like Jax, you don't even have to worry about this. If you're ranged, try to get on the other side of the wall IMMEDIATELY.
Now, if you have an ult that is even sort of kinda like a projectile (including Talliyah ult), you HAVE to save it. Even if you could finish him off with a good ult, don't. Let's take veigar for example. You COULD ult the Yasuo to deal a bajillion damage, but he's likely going to use his wall and completely negate it. That's an unfair trade! You have to wait 6 times the CD for your ult back. SO: Hesitate on your ult. If you get them low, almost every Yasuo player will panic W. Unless they are ridiculously pro or just accidentally miss the W key, they will panic wall. You can then flash through the wall then ult, or just walk through and ult.
Note that the wall starts behind him, so you have about 0.25 seconds after he casts it for projectiles to hit.
I hope this helps!
