So either 20% of 2470 is 900ish. Or if elder drake still applies a DoT it can deal close to 600 damage in only 5 seconds.

is this season 9 elder? or pre-season 10?
season 9 elder dealt a true damage DOT based on the amout of dragons that team had taken.
pre-season 10 kill you outright if you get hit while under 20% max HP.
judging from the picture this is season 9 elder. so yeah this was actually expected.
