The new jungle items on PBE

So, I'm extremely disappointed. I'm a jungle main, and i thought "Hey, I'll go on pbe to test out the new jungle" After testing out that jungle, I've decided that I'm probably going to quit LoL if/when it's fully released. Pretty much any main tank jungler gets screwed. Unless they have a high damage out put. One of my favorite junglers, Rammus, is now pretty much useless. He can't do anything until he gets alteast 4 full items. He takes so much damage with no sustain that I had to back before doing my second buff, which sets any jungler far behind already. I really do think that the new jungle HEAVILY favors the super high damage/sustain champions. *looks at Warwick Udyr Nocturne Tanky champions such as rammus, amumu, and maokai, are dead in the water as far as I can tell.

anybody else tested this out and have an opinion?

Um...no...you can look it up. Outside of Warwick and a few other junglers, NO ONE is capable of clearing both buffs before the frstback. After the 3rd back, you'll be far too low to clear the next 3 camps simply because the jungle mobs hit harder, and you only have 2 pots to utilize.

Uhhh I'm able to clear both buff camps with JarvanIV & Nautilus with just a normal Machete & 4 health pots. Or am I missing something here?

Yeah, the new jungle changes increase the machete from 325 to 400 in cost. So you only receive 2 red pots instead of the current 4. Additionally, the monsters in the jungle hit much harder.

....shiet

But what about the non-upgraded machete? I only read the updated machete upgrades, but what about the machete itself?

Unupgraded Machete is 400 gold. Tier 1 Upgrades (those which modify Smite) cost 350 extra, or 750 total.

Enchantments cost 1500 extra each, or 2250 total, and give you stats for roughly 2250 gold.

There's an AD-focused enchant out of Brutalizer, an AP one out of Fiendish Codex, an HP one out of Ruby + Kindlegem and an AS one out of two daggers.

I just tested this because I couldn't believe it. I have a PBE account, so I loaded up a custom game with Rammus and no team mates. I started Red Buff, and then proceeded straight to Blue Buff. Cleared both buffs without using ANY health potions, and had 128 health remaining. This was with no leash.

I started W, machete, two health pots. Took Q next. Runes were AS reds, flat armor yellows, scaling MR blues, and MS quints (my standard jungle runes). Masteries were 11/5/14, taking pretty much anything that is designed for junglers. See my Mastery page #19

So... I recommend changing something about what you are doing and I think you will be fine. Let me know how things work out for you.

I don't care. I had enough retarded Warwick XinZhao Udyr junglers to be afk-ing for item 3160 farming.

Fortunately Feral flare and spirit stone no longer exist, so you won't have to deal with the flood of incompetent madstone players blatantly losing games for their own glory. There is a similar item to das flare, but it stacks on kills and assists as well as creep and never transforms. Of course FF stacked on kills and assists as well, but that never stopped the bros of legends from ignoring every lane and raging at their team when they lost.

New Jungle routes are different, because camps gives a special effect.

For example the middle camps, which are traditionally inbetween buffs, now only affect vision and vision control, while need to do Gromp and Krugs for damage and stun.

it seems instead of starting with buff, going Gromp->Blue or Krugs->Red is a better option now.

Also smiting red will immediately give you a large amount of health, so you can do him even if you are low.

You cant smite red when youre low to do it at low levels. after doing just blue, I did 1 camp, and I didnt even finish the that camp. It got to about 3 hits from death before i had to run because I was at 50 hp. The monsters simply do too much damage for non-sustain junglers.

Yeah you can't just do the same old same old and expect it to work. Build paths are different, camps are different, routes are different, etc. It isn't just a static jungle, which is kind of the point.

Spirit stone no longer exists no, but feral flare exists as the devourer enchantment that still stacks 1 per monster kill. So you'l have those people who try to stay in the jungle again.

If some champs end up falling to farm behind Riot will buff them to help just like when they change they changed the damage on elder lizard and made the new item item 3160

They could always end up reducing the cost of the new machete as well.

Stop trying to fight the chickens. Fight the wolves instead. Problem solved.
