Remember the Renekton bar?

I feel like the difference is that you can actually beat Darius in lane. He doesn't have the double dash or a point and click stun. Plus his heal is only on champions, unlike renekton's, who's heal is just buffed when hitting champions.

Odds are fairly high such a thing will exist soon. Riot nerfed every decent top lane tank except Poppy and left the vacuum open for Darius to walk right in. And now they're nerfing Poppy too, along with kennen, which just ensures his superiority. They just need to rebuff some of the laners they nerfed and it should equalize out.

Edit: I'm also a dirty Darius main, so I may not be the impartial guy in the world, but that's just how things have flown imo

Because Renekton is still more of a pain than Darius and much of his design is unavoidable for any melee champions and even a few ranged champions. Where as Darius has counterplay and weaknesses, and MAY just be overtuned at the moment.

remember when they mentioned the concept of the renekton bar and wanted to buff/nerf every top laner to his power level at the time, but then didnt follow up on that idea at all, and left the entire class of bruisers in the dust for a whole year?

they never actually did any balancing around the renekton bar, and month later we were still asking what happened to that idea and didnt get an answer.

Riot doesn't care about top problems, whether it's problems of top lane or problems in top lane (like Darius) :^)

At least the people who wanted to go back to the days of the Renekton bar are happy now :/

I like that I had to stop playing top and wukong because vs darius/renekton/fiora you literally cannot farm. You can just stand there and think about why do you play top and will you press altf4 or nah.
