Why are runes so friggin expensive?

I started off today with something upwards of 10,000 IP

so i figured i would update and add to my rune page. so then i had to spend 1600 for ATK speed glyphs for my adc page

then i wanted a page for any tanks... thats 6300 right there. I dont have the required quints or Marks to finish it so thats like an extra 6000 at least... this is nuts. why does a new page take 6300? or over 20 dollars for 7?

why not something more like 4800, or 3200? this just seems like an unnessicary cost to them?

quints are also too expensive, seriously guys do something about these horrid prices.

Because if they were cheap riot wouldn't be making as much money because you wouldn't be grinding IP for runes/rune pages/champs

We all know riot doesn't like when they lose money.

See, i have every champ, 20 pages, and every rune i could ever possibly need. But i've been playing since season 2 so it's kind of expected.

They may seem expensive, but it's also a deterrent for toxic players because if you get banned, you'd have to get all those runes/champs over again.

But ya, The are kinda pricy, but riot's never going to change that because it would hurt their revenue.

There shouldn't even be a "store" for runes. Over half are useless.

It's just a scam to force you to spend your IP so you have to buy champions with RP.
