How to successfully close game? (poll)

I have been having a lot of issues in game lately. I have a game plan in my head but I fail to get my whole team on board. This cost me a lot of unnecessary games. So my question is, When you are in the late game and the game is pretty close. Do you want to stay grouped as a team so that no one in your team can get caught and so you guys can have a good chance to win the next fight. OR do you split yourself in to different parts in the map. SO have 1 pushing top, one pushing bot, one farming in the jungle and maybe 2 mid. this way you don't need to share the farm. What should I do in the late game?

This really depends on your comp and the state of the match. Farming not so much, but the 1-3-1 split is still a handy tool unless the enemy team can win off of a single pick.

Do people not know how to spell poll?

On topic You want to try and force the enemy team to make stupid calls. You can do this by warding, and pushing at objectives.

Almost all games end by a teamfight or by an important pick. Relying on your enemies to make mistakes is a bad mentality to have. Every game is closed slightly differently based on the circumstances. You should think about who's ahead, who's behind, what kind of champions are in the game, what the team comps are, where you can put pressure and where you have to respect the enemy. Think about your win conditions, and think about the enemy's win conditions.

Depends on your enemy and your team comp like Social Justice 1 said. Whatever the majority of your team is good at (or if your team is better at it than your opponents team), do it. So if you have an Assassin comp, roam in a group (in the jungle) while warding the jungle and clearing lanes when you get near them to stop pushes. If they try to team push, go for a 5-man split push (tank turret if you need to), or jump on them (if you have a lot of AOE burst). If you have a teamfight comp, try and force teamfights by pressuring objectives, pushing, etc.
