Whats with death recap system?

I have been having alot of issues with the death recap system. I am so much of the time very interested in what happen during the team fight. But when all i see is 1200 Physical damage form jinx and then 75 magic damage from 's trample, and like 120 physical from minions... I mean its a 5v5 team fight, i have like 5k hp and minions still make it to death recap? Personally, i do not see any good reason for not having alot more information. I think it is about time riot takes a look at this aspect of the game.
