How to fix team builder!

Team builder has been out for a while now. And has not seen so much success. It is no secret it is painful to wait upward to 30 min for your team to fish out a support from the pool of players. If i really want to play a champ it would probably be faster to get into blind queue, and if i fail, i would rather wait 5 min and try again. And since most players know they are going to have to wait for a support pick to come up we avoid the team builder all together. Leaving the queues less populated and making the queue times much more longer. I believe team builder is a the future for normal queues. I have played many team builder games and the experience is always a much more pleasant one.

So what can we do to fix it? Well i thought of something so simple that just might work! I asked myself "what can incentivize players to want to pick support in team builder?" Immediately, i came up with the solution, why not give support bot players bonus IP? people are always trying to buy new champs and runes and stuff and lets face it, not everyone is using RP to purchase their champions. I was thinking of a bonus of maybe 60-70 percent. This way we can have the support mains do their thing and the people who really just want to grind their way to a new rune page can also get as they wish. I see everyone wins in this situation. yes, even riot. i know riot works very hard to find ways to improve the community and i think team builder is the way for everyone to enjoy the normal queues a lot more. More people will use team builder and the queue times will drop form several minutes to several seconds!

So what do you guys think? Would you use this new and team builder with queues that are only 30 sec long? Or would you try to grind out some games as a support to get some extra IP?

I support main, and while I was using Team Builder I found that even though I got into groups quickly, the main issue isn't waiting on someone to show up to fill a role, it's the leader repeatedly declining players on champs that aren't OP in the current meta, and people leaving because they get tired of it.

It's players being overly picky jerks, not the system.

I find it also depends on the time of day, I play a lot of late night/early morning games, and yeah those wait times suck for a lot of roles. The midday/afternoon games are not so bad. I find the biggest pain comes from having to completely REBUILD the team after you've clicked search for players if even just one person wants to change their role or if you find other people to invite. A "Stop Searching" option that allows you to cancel the search and reconfigure your team in the same lobby before continuing your search would be an even better improvement.
