Veigar buff ideas
Veigar is one of those champs that is really fun to play but takes a bit of time to ramp up. he scales super hard and is a late game monster but even at the height of his power still has glaring weaknesses with immobility and being super vulnerable to any form of focus since his range is actually not that big.
the problem with Veigar is you really don't want to buff his early game TOO much because then he has no time in the game he is not strong. and for a champion who scales so hard that would be unacceptable. (i mean look at 6.3 kog maw, last season vayne/jinx, and azir until recent nerfs for examples of what happens a scaling champ is strong early or even average early)
So I have a couple different ideas that I feel could make him a lot stronger while not necessarily touching his weaknesses.
1.) Change event horizon stun duration to the same at all ranks so Veigar players do not have to max this second. this would also allow players to get their combo off when they successfully land a stun early. Right now, if you play veigar if you land an early stun unless you were fully committed and super close range to begin with you are not going to be able to land your W since the stun duration is not long enough. The stun is already tricky to land in lane so I think it wouldn't put him over the edge. it would make him stronger for sure since he can max his W second and have more damage while not buffing his late game whatsoever
OR
2.) Change Q cooldown to 5 seconds at all ranks. Right now stacking in lane can be tricky at times. You are encouraged to trade now which is nice since hitting a champ with your Q still grants you ap, but its cooldown is so long its often times better to just double stack on minions or go for the weird as hell hit a minion and try to hit the champ as well which against good players is not easy to do. Lowering the cooldown early just allows you to get more stacks faster and doesn't make him necessarily too much stronger early, just allows you to trade more which would be nice since Veigar is weak early, but not trading at all feels really really shitty.
