BUFFING BOT LANE LUCIAN. fucking auto correct. i didnt even notice.

I love Lucian but so often I see him getting gutted every time a build comes out that can spike him super hard at 1 and 2 items. (Ghostblade into cleaver and now bork into cleaver)

What I suggest is to slightly lower the bonus ad ratio of Lucian Q, and Ult, but then give it a damage scaling with his crit chance (like xayah e) I am not suggest to make any of his abilities able to crit just that they have a ratio that scales with crit chance.

Lucian is never a problem when the crit build is the go to build. But right now building him crit is just so much weaker than his other build that he's been gutted because of it.

With slightly lower ratios on his Q and R if he just builds regular AD items he gets less out of it. And if he builds crit items with the new crit ratio he should be pumping out MORE damage than his current crit build offers.

This way Lucians mid game is what it should be with the crit build and his other builds aren't oppressive.

Thoughts?

i like this idea a lot! and if it's not enough, they could always pump up his mana costs to encourage him to buy essence reaver

Perhaps make his ult have chance for crit for 120% dmg like on MF?Or just bring back the AS scaling mechanic.

How about instead of that we just don't buff Lucian at all and nerf him for mid lane. He's basically been meta for years, we could use a damn break.

Tbh his kit just needs more counterplay. He has one of the smoother flowing kits which makes it a pain to deal with. Its just a constant stream of dmg with too many cdr items available to him for an almost constant uptime. Many and CD nerfs probably best places

There were changes on the PBE at one point that had Lucian's ugly scaling with Crit, similar to MF I believe. The changes didn't stay there long and were removed. For whatever reason Riot didn't like the idea. Probably too much Crit-Armor Pen scaling, like the Jinx ZAPPP!!! changes that also never made it through.

This is a buff that literally does nothing until Lucian has crit which is lvl 6 at the absolute earliest. His window to win lane is probably already gone by then. A Lucian that can't take control of lane at lvl 2 doesn't really do anything.

I like the thought but what made ghostblade BC broken was early 40%cdr, what makes Bork BC broken is his double hit passive. Making his q and ult scale off crit just encourages the lucian to get a zeal item and an IE after that and won't actually delay his power that much but add more to it later.

on its own i like it but theres such a heavy focus on crit rn i really dont want to see even more until they tone that back
