The thing is, Vayne and Diana really want to build some attack speed, and being able to long fight like that is really part of their identity. Nautilus has never seemed like a champion that really wants to brawl, instead setting up people with incredible CC, then having a pattern that at least says "Pay attention to me" in a longer fight.

Such a pattern on tanks damage-wise wants something closer to Singed's poison, or Amumu's Despair and Tantrum, while an every X hit needs to be more tuned towards burst. Maybe something like Braum's pattern, where he puts extra damage on people recovering from his passive root, and have it expand to AoE for X seconds after the shield is cast is more fitting?

I like that idea, especially when you AA some one and they get snared and your like," Well i snared him for like .5 seconds, now what?" Which brings me to another problem his snare is really short, at least to me, if they allowed it to scale into late game like into a 2 second stun by Lv.18. Really enforcing that once Naut has you in his grip you not gonna be doing much for quite some time.

Lack of CC chain is not really the problem Nautilus is suffering from, though, and adding to that means that Riot's going to have to pull more out of the power budget. His big problem is effect after the cc chain and early-game jungle/wave clear. A longer snare barely touches the first and doesn't fix the second.

I know but its just that i cant really see Naut doing heavy damage, the extra damage like Braum is a good idea though. But to me I see Naut more of a team centered champion one that relies on his team to do dmg, while he holds them tight so they can do the dmg. In the jungle he seems to have a fine wave clear, sustain may be a problem.

It really wouldn't. His attack speed is horrendous, and his current passive is amazing. All they need to do to make him excellent is make his DoT effect persist after his shield breaks (the thing every single Naut player has been telling Riot for over a year).
