@Riot, I seriously advice you to make "let's fix it" the motto of Season 10 when you'll develop it

You can't go on forever powercreeping your favorite aspects of the game and only half-nerfing them when too much people complain about them. Its not healthy at all and it has been going on for far too long that the state of the game has suffered from it and it shows.

The frequency of compensation buffs and released champions being way over the top is also way too high. Damage is way too high and tons of feedback (if another smartass tries to argue about feedback sources, just stop living under a freaking rock) from actual players, be it content creators, pro players or not, are just complaining about how everything in the game is so snowbally and glasscannon-y.

Its pretty obvious that you need to shift the game in a whole new direction if you actually want to satisfy your original community (which is something that nobody really knows if you want it or not, given your recent behavior), yet you don't show any motivation to do so in the 2 months or so left for you to do any actual balancing before saying "Yep, Worlds time, devs are now sleepîng". So, please, just seriously consider making Season 10 THE season for you to fix the multitude of crumbs of past errors that you left in your wake for the past 3-4 years.

Come preseason we will hear the same old bullshit about how they are going to improve the game yada yada. The fangirls will lap it up as per usual and come the start of season 10 the game will be even worse.

Its impossible. Riot fucked up the game too much for more than 4 years to the point where the game cannot be fixed. I gave up on Riot. I wish another company had league.

No, seriously, what do you expect from Riot at this point? We're way beyond "riot fix the game pls" at this point. Riot's great balance team made such good decisions over the past like 3 years that you can't fuckin reverse the damage done. I mean, I doubt they even KNOW what champions are in a bad state at this point.

Every time I see new Patch Notes I want to hit my head against the wall so I get nausea and then maybe some changes actually make sense

Nobody will ever be satisfied regardless of what Riot does. People come up with all these harebrained ideas thinking they know how to fix the game. There will be just as many complaints and people living in the past talking about how great Season 3 was and if we only just go back. We can't. The game has evolved and it's for the better.

This boards is so hive minded. I moved over to Reddit because it honestly got so bad, that's probably why all the Rioters hang out there instead of touching this depression-inducing forum.

I used to look forward to having intelligent conversation with people on here, but now if you don't agree with something you get downvoted to oblivion. Yeah Reddit has some of that too, but it's not nearly as bad.

Riot has made it's share of mistakes, and even this patch I would say wasn't up to my expectations, but saying they're awful and not deserving of this game is stupid. Who would be better? Activision-Blizzard? Maybe EA? Or hey, what about Epic Games? Yeah right, they're all worse on so many levels.

I honestly don't get why you all hang around lurking on the forums when you all hate Riot and it's game so much. Like have you not thought of just quitting and going elsewhere and enjoying life? Like you're all so angry all the time I don't get it. If you don't like it why torture yourselves? This game is gonna be fine, it just recaptured #1 Twitch spot and has two games in the top 3 most streamed section now and posted great earnings recently: it's in a great place in terms of performance. It will survive, don't worry about it.

except that there's literally a general consensus about how the game became oneshot burstfest that requires less and less strategy every patch because it's gone from "Being fed means you can carry your team better" to "being fed means you can oneshot the enemy team better" over the span of a season or two

They should apply that motto to the boards and hire a few Master+ players to remove any negative IQ posts. The reasoning should just be "If you had any clue how to play the game, this would not be an issue. For this reason, this post has been removed.".

Any "Zed is poking me under tower when I'm playing Morg" posts would be insta-removed. Any "analysis" full of straight up false info would be removed.

Btw. Have you noticed "pre-season 9th"? Imho season 9-th is literally contiunuation of season 8th. Players have always been excited, when preaseson was coming: new items, balance of MANY champions, changes in masteries/runes, changes in jungle, etc. Game was literally fresh every year. And then Riot was just tweaking/balancing things they just added to keep game fresh and semi-balanced. Even preason 8-th with Runes reforged was cool, because we could test, a lot. However RIot didn't "denied" problems, they just slightly "tweak" them. Pre-season 9th just added platings, and small number tweaks in turrets, minions, etc. Expect that this was just a normal patch. Imho game is in the same state, because we didn't had "specific-periodic metas", problems are the same as in last sezon, etc., and that's why it feels so bad.

Riot already confirmed that they like this damage creep, fast pace meta, so I doubt season 10 will change much.

They can fix it or at least make it less frustrate to play, it's just they don't wanna change this meta at all.

They love seeing certain champions, play style dominate, if they truly care about the player then the game shouldn’t even be in this state, where you see so many ridiculous Op champion and so many questionable changes.

As long as the skins sale, they will do whatever they want.

I truly cant understand how ppl are willing to spend money for this bad experience at all. I could understand it during eralier seasons (pre7, maybe pre 6), but now its just a waste. Sadly tbh.

The problem is riot actually can't fix it. This situation was inevitable with design choices they make and there isn't much they can really do about it. Game has fundamental issues they've layered and layered on without solving the root cause, and now the system is dependent on the scaffolding.

Reminder that Flash was never intended to be a required summoner spell.

If I'm being honest I don't even remember them doing anything for preseason this year apart from a normal balance patch... But I guess that makes it better than the nightmare which has been runes reforged.
