Across the map he isn't broken, but when looking at bot lane exclusively...he is the only support champion with a overloaded modernized kit. As a result he is overbearing and overpowered, since no other support champion has mechanics even half as good as his.

charge attack3 votesHis R isn’t even his biggest issue. The reason he sucks to play against is that he’s just impossible to catch, while being really good at catching himself.
Look at most catchers like Leona, Thresh, Blitz and they are pretty boned if they get put in a bad spot. It sucks that Pyke kinda just clears your wards with impunity, and just dips if you try and get him. Not to mention gaining all the health he lost back too.
Thresh has been way stronger for a bit now but you see way more bitching about Pyke.

and an execute that resets on kills. and invis. and move speed steroid. I wouldn't argue pyke is op, he's just frustrating to play against, and he's too safe for what he brings to the table.
