melee tanks with no gap closer are dead, even that rammus everyone talk about has an insane ms boost, tank gods in world are maokai and alistar, both have gap closer, and for support, thresh is ranged tank with gap closer, braum can jump too, leona's E is everything about her
well you can bring mundo, but his wr in world just meh, I have no idea is this season a bruiser meta or ranged meta or nerf assassin meta, but i am sure this isn't melee tanks meta.

Of all the champs with the Tank label added to their classes, these are the only ones without a form of dash/blink/ms boost.
Granted, these champs have other factors that make them terrifying lol.
It's about knowing your kit, knowing your strengths and weaknesses and working with your strengths.
The reason certain champs are popular is because they either fit the playstyle of the player or their weaknesses can be nearly moot in the right team comp or with the right amount of skill.
Example, Lee Sin. Can fall of hard late game due to either being too squishy to properly duel carries or damage falls off due to building tanky, but in the right hands can still put utility to incredible use and make the fall off of damage a moot point.
