surrender function exists because riot is aware of the fact that even when both teams play ... at 20 min probably one team has close to 0 possibilities of turning a match around

unless its tank meta ... then noone will win (#kills win game ... not directly thou ... but no game is won without killing enemies)

I would agree and disagree, If it is like 20 to 1 by 20 min mark then i would probably surrender but if it is 12 to 3 a comeback is very possible then again it depends on team compositions and powerspikes of the champions present in the game. LMK what you think :)

And also mentality of the players, most of the time when a comeback is possible someone is already raging or tilting therefore making it unlikely but if every remains calm and continues to play their best then IMO comebacks happen more then you can imagine because the team doesn't close the game out.

well i said that its close to 0 ... so yes there are chances

but lets face it ... those cases are suprisingly rare lee sin is something that makes sence but most champions scale simply into late so when comeback hapens most of the time iits due to one team just feeling too confident and allowing enemies to do it

in a fair fight ... where everyone plays seriously thou ... there are no comebacks ... one team just crushes the other

I find this rarely the case even all the way to Diamond Elo teams do not close games out. People usually have difficulty closing games out when the enemy team is actually competent in understanding ... awww pooop we are super behind what should we do we should turtle and avoid fights. If this is done most of the time a comeback is very very possible since a vast majority of players even up to Diamond elo grow very impatient (I know this from personal experience) at this point it is easier to pick decent fights.

It is all game decisions and knowing how to trade objectives when behind.

awww pooop we are super behind what should we do we should turtle and avoid fights

and then the dragon system kicks in

it effectively prolongs the torment

but it creates some gameplay ... winning team gives the enemies some handicap in the form of dragon attacking them... but at the same time they force the other team to come out and fight

still in normals i saw many games which were not simple stomps ... but in ranked everyone pushed their advantages to win ... so even turtling as 5 under a tower was not effective

Not really, granted drag is important but it isn't game over until they get 5th drag even then I have won a game where they got 2 barons and 5th drag twice

I usually just give up the 4 drags unless an opportunity presents itself or when they take drag you exchange it for another objective

You can continue to just give up if you want but don't encourage others

In all honesty you should just play the game out it helps to learn to play from behind

I'm in Diamond V and this is the case in my Elo

Even in your Elo Plat V this is even more the case people are terrible at closing the game out

Idk I guess maybe in EU people just give up easier but that's not the case from my experience

Overall I wouldn't say comebacks are close to 0 more close to 25 or 30% at least in NA
