Assassins are the messiah coming to cleanse this world of evil and save us all: Assassins will put and end to -squishy full damage supports -warding is going to save lives so ss will be crucial -no more 3-4 squishy damage carries in every team

rylais won't save anyone , zhonias is now the better option -assassins will naturally bring tanks into the meta
peeling and sisal engage supports over full damage/ poke
Vayne will be broken
tf will be perma ban (due to ult reveal)

Why are supports that do damage bad? They have counter-play. Everyone likes playing different types of champs. Imo support champions like and Zyra give support mains a chance to carry. And btw Assassins right now can one shot supports already. You just have to be good at them.

If you're a good Brand it's quite easy. Also when you get rylai's it will be a lot easier as well. In teamfights you're also sure to hit it and it can be used to peel really well (you can stun a riven rushing to your adc immediately).

but his kit isnt designed for peel/cc he has a small one that when you hit a target already marked with his passive it has a small 1.5 second stun...

his kit is made for damage and poke

you take brand support for damage and poke not to peel or cc shit

zyra kit is designed to have poke, zone with plants and can root people providing a cc also her ult is a great disengage /anti dive ability which makes her more of a support type of champ a zone/control mage but her high base damage is nice

Are you the game designer? If the creators of this game didn't want Brand to be what he's like currently, he would be changed. Look at what's happening to Rengar. Obviously, they wanted Brand to be how he's like now. And no, you don't take him for only damage. You take him for a mixture of cc and damage.

Because support is not a damage carry role, it's called support for a reason; they provide utility for the team and peel, but when there is no assassjn threat they are free to just build damage. Not anymore

Yes but supports that do a high amount of damage also usually have peel or cc. Brand has rylais and his stun, zyra has her q. And that was the old meta of supports, remember the meta is always constantly changing, you have to adapt to it. And let me remind you, there isn't really such a thing as a role. You can play whatever you want bot lane and still win. Any support really is fine. Look at ssg, they played mf support and it worked fine with them. All I really see is you complaining about a meta with champions you have problems with. Nothing is op.

Yes, let us enjoy a meta where squishy champs have to quiver at the thought of insta-death as soon as they step out of line. Because playing on twitch reflexes for extended periods of time is the best idea and leads to exciting game right?

assassin rise will give way to cc tanks and then people will cry about that and dps/sustain damage beats tanks which means adcs will rise again

Tanks, in general, don't counter assassins. Heavy cc supports do(who may, or may not be a tank). You don't want a Malphite on your team if enemies have Zed, you want Thresh or Janna.

Only thing assassin meta will bring us are games more boring than ever, because it will force everyone to play extremely cautious.

Like every assassin meta in the past.

Not a problem, just a playstyle you have to learn to play around.

Warding is not unique to the assassin meta, it has always applied, and will continue to apply to every meta.

The assassin meta will cause more assassins to be played, increasing the number of squishy champs on teams.

We'll see what the Rylais changes look like, the item is getting reworked in the preseason so we'll see.

An assassin meta will bring assassins into the meta... and with that peel supports will become meta, not tanks. I hope you like Janna and Soraka because this is how you get Janna and Soraka in every game.

Yeah, the assassin itemization looks amazing for her. That's really more of a problem the assassin rework is creating though.

I mean, he will in some sense fix the problems that the assassin rework is going to create, but that's not saving us from an existing problem.

Supports building AP has never been strong at the highest tiers of play. Instead they all use the same stupid build, with the gold generation item being the only real change.
The only build that is ever broken are champions building tank despite not being intended to.
Assassin meta is a meta in which everyone except the support is a squishy, if there are 2 or more tanks assassins perform poorly.
Rylai's is currently a far better tool vs assassins than Zhonya's due to the higher AP total and the health meaning more than the armor the assassin is probably ignore with pen/magic damage.
Speaking of Zhonya's, don't people still hate it's active? Stats aside, I don't see people ever not complaining about this item when it's relevant.
Peeling and disengage supports tend to scale better with AP due to all the utility scalings they have which also gives them damage. Most tank supports are more engage focused than peel focused.
Most people hate Vayne, how is her being broken a good thing?
I don't see TF being strong enough to compete with assassins, his laning is too weak and his ult isn't up as often as any of the true stealth champions can go invis.
