How the heck Lich Bane works?

Neosphoros··2 votes·2,539 views

Unique feature (SPELLBLADE) of Lich Bane says: After using an ability, your next basic attack within 10 seconds deals 75% base AD (+ 50% AP) bonus magic damage on-hit (1.5 second cooldown)... so if I'm right - if I have for example AD = 200, AP = 100 - this feature should deal AP demage = 200 is not like that?

Feature demage = 75%(200)AD + 50%(100)AP = 200APd

But as I realized it does not work like that...

I have test it on Jhin which has: AD = 681 AP = 80 ...so if it would work like description says - it should deal adittional magic demage ~600...

but when I have looked at inventory item decription it gaves me information that it will be only 143 magic demage

So how does it work?

how do you come up that it should do 600 bonus damage?

its 75% of BASE AD not total ad or bonus ad .

jhin's base ad 57 – 136.9 lvl 1-18

Sorry, it was approximately... exactly it will be 550

75% of 681AD =~510 50% of 80AP =~40

"deals 75% base AD (+ 50% AP)"

75% base AD (+ 50% AP) =~550

jhins base ad isnt 681

You should google the difference between base ad and total ad. Also you shouldn't run more then one Sheen item (Tri, Lich, IBG)

Depends on the build. Only the stronger sheen will proc, but additional effects will proc as well. Its why you buy IBG and trinity force together and still benefit... in rare cases. IBG's stats without sheen are pretty lackluster.

Well, your also wasting money on a item/effect that you already have.

Lich Bane says BASE ad not TOTAL ad. Jhin's base AD at level 18 according to (http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_champions/Statistics_at_level_18) is 136.9 AD. And with that Lich Bane you have an additional 80 AP. Implement these numbers in the formula and you'll get (136.9 AD x 0.75) + (80 AP x 0.5) which will give you 142.675 damage from Lich Bane (rounded up to 143).

Also I'm pretty sure that using Trinity Force and Lich together will create some issues because only one sheen passive can proc

Jhins base ad level 1 is 57, At level 18 its 136.9 .

His passive Adds % ad scaling to him. 4% − 44% (based on level)「 (+ 0.4% per 1% critical strike chance) (+ 0.25% per 1% bonus attack speed) 」 bonus attack damage.

You will only ever get the highest value out of Spellblade. item 3100 would be 75% of 136.9 =102.675. Next 50% of AP, 80 Ap 40. End result? 142.675. We know it rounds to whole numbers. So you get 143. MAGICAL!

item 3078 by the way is 200% base ad. 273.8 Damage.

They wont stack. Unless this got changed from the last time I ran a test. The Priority order for spell blade goes IBG<Trinity<Lichbane. Lich damage is always applied over others because it theoretically has highest damage potential. If you Stack IBG with any other the slow will apply, but the damage will be from Trinity or LB.

Funny thing is that LB can often do less damage then Trinity with no ap backing it up. So at the time I tested it you ran into situations where your damage went DOWN for building both LB and TF. I doubt its changed, if it has then I would assume that it takes the higher damage value option. Easy enough to test.

Yet another thread showing Neosphoros still has a lot of room to grow on learning basic game mechanics. Keep at it man, learning is good.
