Why we can not honor enemy players?

I was playing against very good Rengar. He was dominating so much that even without 1 player (in enemy team) - they lost game but after 30 min. Why we can not honor enemy players?

Right, when my team is full of people flaming eachother in a norms and the enemy team is being graceful about it, I think I would rather honor someone on the enemy team who is focusing on ending the game before it gets out of hand.

Riot stated when they made the new system that Honoring Enemies had too much going on in the screen. They might do it at a later time but it's not a priority.

Because they are enemies for a reason. They must be destroyed.

Probably because you don't know what they would be saying in their team chat. They could be nice in all chat and toxic in team chat and then get honor from the enemy team? That's not a good idea.

That's pretty rare. Most of the Honorable Opponents tended to just be fairly friendly people.
