Does anyone else think it would be interesting if we had a bruiser mid meta

Bruisers don't really have much a place to go in this meta besides for the jungle and even then tanks outscale them so hard.

As toxic as Vi and Panth mid would be I'm not completely against it.

At least in Mid lane you need to be smart when you go in because you leave yourself completely open to ganks.

Most bruisers have some time of utility such as Panth's leap or Vi's ult.

Who knows? Spin to win freelo Garen mid would be quite interesting

Counters assasins too

Note: I do realize that during early-mid Season 4 Kha'zix mid and Panth mid were a thing

Problem is that I started playing League during that period so I never really got to enjoy it and right now bruisers just need a place to go

Bruisers aren't uncommon. Top lane has them if Jungler doesn't, Jungler has it if Top lane is tank. Mid lane melee champions can still be bruiser, fighter-ish. Riot really didn't do anything for Pantheon mid. It's just those dumb matchups. Panth mid is like Vayne top, not common but supereffective. I don't see how Pantheon mid wouldn't be effective anymore.

bruiser mid has been and likely always will be viable to a certain extent. You just need to make sure you are in a lane where you won't get bullied for being melee, and that your team offers enough damage to compensate for you being a bruiser rather than a hard carry like an assassin or mage. I mean, even last week in the LCS mid Irelia showed up as a counter pick. Cho and Urgot are also both kind of bruiser mids. Realistically, I can see Aatrox Darius Fiora Gangplank Hecarim Irelia JarvanIV Jax LeeSin Mordekaiser Pantheon Renekton Riven Rumble MonkeyKing and XinZhao working solidly as damage heavy bruiser mids, along with several other unconventional, but slightly less effective options.

They lack ranged waveclear which makes it difficult to defend the midturret against 4 man sieges. The reason you see so many ranged / AOE mids is because a common strategy is for ADCs to group mid and push the turret down, and a champion like Ahri can quickly waveclear to prevent this.

My guess is that most Bruisers would get out poked in the Early game, and out damaged in the late game. Though a few Bruisers may work if they can fair against ranged champs. You would also have to fulfill your role as a mid laners. Though some Bruisers who could roam and engage might make good mid lane champs. (herc anyone?)

But over all, it's possible but Unlikely.
