Support = Buy Sightstone

It's kinda ridiculous how many Bronze playes don't know to rush a sightstone early game. I just finished carrying a game where i had to buy 7 greens and 1 pink (it nv got found; by the river) because the braum support didn't think it 'necessary'. If i remember correctly he said something like "I dont need it if i dont keep going into enemy jungle" (yes he must have been either <10 yo or have some mental issues because what he said made no f;ing sense to me). After upgrading his lane item, getting Sunfire cape, he got a BoRK (WTF!?). I mean he did alright the whole game, it coulda been worse and he coulda been a feeder or something, but seriously what a way to play. All early to mid game the gragas jungle kept roaming and getting kills, usually from mid whom i told to buy wards and of course he never did. Seeing this was the reason i told braum to rush a sightstone like 15-20 mins in but he didnt listen either. If i wouldnt have bought so many wards i'm sure the lack of vision woulda made things much more difficult and coulda possibly lost us the game. Seriously, if you play support and don't buy wards, don't play in ranked at the very least.

EDIT: Oh and after the match he said "you don't need sighstone if you not getting ganked". Dude.. If yo uread this and think the same, the whole point of sighstone is to avoid a gank. Make it so that the jungler wastes his time trying to get something to happen... Dont wait till the enemy adc gets that double kill on ya and then take ay tower for you to decide you need sightstone.

There are reasons and ways for supports not to get Sightstone. Buying wards until 9 and upgrading the Yellow Trinket (while still buying pinks as needed) as early as possible is one. Nothing changes the fact that a support who doesn't ward isn't doing his job right, whatever their build is. For that matter, everyone with a Yellow Trinket should always have at least two wards up.

Yeah, I fully agree. Unless you're ahead and you're trying to capitalize on it by going full damage with a mage support, buy a sightstone.

Yeah, sure, that Randuin looks nice, but you know what's nicer? Not getting ganked by their entire team.

Wards are useless for players who don't watch the map. I've seen people with vision control, and getting pings from their teammates to go back, to die, because they are clueless about the game. I'm not talking about Bronze, I'm talking about Platinum 4. One example: Let's say you are immobile and mana hungry mage that plays vs assasin. The assasin goes botlane, you ping and chat: go back. Botlane has every bush warded. They don't care and die in the gank. What can you do? If you follow, you will get killed by the assasin and miss xp and cs. Botlane could just clear most of the wave and retreat. The assasin would see that they are not falling for the bait and go back mid, instead of wasting time. Wards are the most overrated thing in the game. Vision is useless, if you don't play smart. Competetive players play super safe and don't take unnecessary risks. There are even some team comps that don't need much vision, because they care only about the fastpushing the waves and the towers (deathball strategy).
