Solo q no provs?
Why doesn't solo queue need any provisionals during the preseason? And another question, will riot not do the tier drop for players in solo queue as a way to say sorry for not having it during season 6? Or will they?

It resets at the beginning of the season. Just like last years pre season.
solo q replaced dynamic queue.
you will see placements again come season 7. these placements will be a bit stricter/harsher with their drop in rank than usual. (typically most go down 4 ranks, we will probably see more than this)
