Hi guys, I'm a bronze noob looking to climb to challenger in like 3 years. I have the dedication to the game only playing for about 6 months. The only problem is my parents. They wont let me play more than 3 games a day weekend, and you can forget about it weekdays. I use to play whenever I wanted but my mom says I got really addicted so she limited my time. Is it possible to climb to diamond in 2 years at this rate? And is true that 2 games or 10 games doesn't matter? Its how you use it?

Yes, that is true.

but my mom says I got really addicted so she limited my time

Honestly, listen to her. She's is one of the few people who have your best interests at heart. It's oftentimes difficult to tell if something effecting yourself is problematic, but she'll tell you and while, you won't always agree, you should at least listen.

It is possible, there are some people to dedicate themselves to the point they get diamond in 1 season of playing. The odds of that happening are super rate, but it is possible if you are good enough. Some players have the ability to climb that fast and get recruited, however, a lot of time will be needed to achieve the goal. I too have always wanted to be a pro gamer, Only peaked at gold after 3 seasons on ranked. Eventually I will get there, but it takes a long time.

I'm sorry to say, but there's an almost 0% chance you'll make it to challenger. It's nothing personal about you, it's just the statistics of the game. There's millions of players and only a handful make it to challenger. Just play the game to have fun because playing to climb is what creates frustration and creates the toxic players and will honestly make the game a lot less enjoyable. Have some smaller goals and reach those first if you're dead set on this idea, instead of "Challenger in 3 years" work on "Silver 5 by the end of the season" or something. This game is honestly not worth getting addicted over or spending all your time with.

Some cases its not how many hours you put into something but what you put into those hours. I could play League for 10 hours straight and if I don't learn from my mistakes I'm wasting my time and others.

Also depends this game is fun but rewarding its hit and miss.
Hit if you can get to Diamond and seem like your not boosted you can get start a stream and people will watch you play but you can't play like you got boosted.
Miss as this game can be addictive and if you don't go far you pretty much wasted whatever amount of time that you put into playing it.

Say you do reach challenger at that point it will be hard for you to stay up with REAL LIFE SITUATIONS. If you want to stay in challenger you will need to play almost 24/7 and practice equally as much. This means that it will be hard for a job or Real life situations for you.

Whenever you have a chance to play without being interrupted I would sit down and play Ranked. Whatever role you play have a positive KDA and play one game after the other, play say .... 20 Games in a ROW no breaks other than bathroom break or breaks loading into the game. IF you don't WIN 14 or more out of the 20 games while having a positive KDA, the Challenger scene may not be for you.
