So the new Disarm CC (on Irelia's new ult) is just a better version of Blind?

They both perform the same function: make your target unable to autoattack. But unlike Teemo's version, Irelia's straight-up stops you from trying to autoattack rather than making all autos miss.

Is this a sign that Teemo's version might be obsolete?

They're gonna rework Teemo's Q to be more thematically correct. Teemo chops off his target's hands permanently making them unable to attack for the rest of the game.

Not really, since blind causes empowered AAs like Nasus Q to be consumed after they miss, IIRC. Because Disarm stops you from being able to issue the command at all (as seen with Amumu's ult, which is a disarm and root at the same time), the empowered AA cannot be consumed and may still be used if the timer hasn't run out by the time disarm ends.

They know that their Blind coding doesn't work since some on-hit effect go through it and some skills like Illaoi long-range W goes through it completely dealing full damage, they don't want the new flashy champion to show that to everyone.

I think it'd make more sense, personally, if Teemo's Q were reworked to apply Nearsight, not Blind. Blind doesn't work against non-autoattack enemies like Lissandra or Ryze, but is oppressive against autoattackers like Tryndamere. Nearsight would both be more universal and would allow Teemo some interesting mindgames, like being able to throw down a shroom while his opponent can't see.

Of course, his Q would have to receive several balance tweaks for that to be fair, but it'd be better IMO than the old Blind effect.

I'm all for this especially since you can nearsight your opponent and then go stealth

Except for the fact that if nasus, master yi, trynd, braum, kled, camille etc.... jump on you and stick to you, your blind is useless. Teemo is one of the best counters to trynd and yi in team fights at the moment. So No thanks, I'd rather add a Nearsight effect to existing blind, rather than replacing the current effect

Well one is an ultimate ability and requires the target to walk into it

the other is on an 8 second cd and only requires one to be in range to use it

Teemo is a pretty obsolete champion in general. He really only serves a purpose to bully AA top laners. He doesn't contribute much to teamfighting other than trying to blind the adc, which could get him blown up, or throwing shrooms and HOPING they do something in a fight.
