I guess Rito are fully bailing out on fighter aspects for Taric

Welp feels bad man, only supportive character that felt like he could be a fighter. Also lore wise he fights void beasts and stuff on his own, he goes around to fight them mostly and protects people.

Gameplay wise I don't really like the buddy buddy system, I understand they wanted to give Taric skill expression I guess but buddy buddy is lame. Lore-wise he isn't 1 on 1 buddy buddy with anyone as well. He has protector stuff but I don't think they look exactly like in game. Shielding and Healing? For sure. But casting stuns in a line from someone else seems like a stretch, also invulnerability on someone else and himself seems like a stretch.

But oh well, guess he will be balanced around Warden and Enchanter. Sucks that his fighter aspect will no longer be realized. I'll still make it work though :B

Off topic: One thing I love about Taric rework is how one hand is dedicated to casting and the other to bashing, looks so cooooooooooooooool.

Pretty sure they always intended to balance him around being solely a tank without any plans on changing that in the future, but do what you gotta do cutie pie. #Gems

Old Taric was someone that could hold his own. You could take him into a solo lane and know that if you played well you'd be able to do work for your team. Fighter? Tank? Whatever. Old Taric could fistycuffs if he wanted to or stand near buddies if he wanted to, I expected that you'd be able to make the same decisions as new Taric but nope. At least, the fistycuffs don't feel that good and feels more like you're just supporting, EVEN WHEN YOU'RE FED.

Even for a tank, he's the wettest of noodles.

I can build full tank Nautilus or Galio and still generate pressuring damage on enemies, in lane or late game, top lane or support. But Taric simply doesn't hurt at all.

I mean, it's one thing for Janna or Soraka to have very little damage potential, because they're back line champs with a dedicated suite of suppot abilities. Taric is designed to be on the front lines, yet doesn't actually do anything even if he's allowed to wail on the enemy squishies uninhibited.

His win rate is fine right now, but I have to imagine that the community would be much more eager to actually play him if some of the power on, say, his heal and shield were diverted into his passive empowered swings.

Totally agree here. Rito too afraid to buff his fighter because he is a utility machine. Just take away his utility, make him more fun please Rito.

I played a decent amount of Taric after his rework, but yeah, I wish they had made him more of a fighter. He does such hilariously little damage, even with his "empowered" auto-attacks, that I can barely stand to play him. There should be more of a reward in terms of damage for getting to melee range as a champ with no real engage.

##Because riot says they support "diverse playstyles and builds" but completely nerf or rework champions into their own cookie-cutter idea of said champion.

They don't truly give a fuck about how the community plays a champion.

When reworking Warwick they forgot about his AP build, than they put the ridiculous AP ratio on his Q back.

Warwick wasn't changed significantly though from his previous incarnation, which was either "omg op" or "you can't do shit" -- it was actually very binary.

Warwick's one of the good reworks done. But he's still shitty to play top or mid in this meta.
