Why are towers no longer safe?

Why is it in this game, towers do nothing anymore? You're not safe because you're near your tower. The literal tutorial tries to teach you of the dangers of towers, and make it seem like they're actually foreboding, but they're not. People can easily poke you under tower, because the tower range is so small that they have abilities that are safe to throw at you without getting hit by the tower. People can dive you, because there's so many dashes, invulnerability mechanics, shields, and summoners that make it so they can kill you and get out before the tower shoots them once. Not to mention, with one armor item most champions can take 3-4 tower shots without even worrying much about it. What happened to towers being a safe haven?

Now, most champions with one or two items can easily kill you in less than a second, and still have a way to get out. Just for shits and giggles, here's the list of champions who can basically nullify turret damage or avoid it entirely.

Aatrox: Has a revive

Ahri: Has 3 dashes, Q can poke outside of tower range

Akali: "True stealth" and more dashes than a prisoner's wall when he's waiting to get out.

Annie: Tibbers can tank tower.

Ashe: W can poke outside of tower range

Azir: Is Azir

Bard: Q can bounce off minions and stun, off minions he can poke outside of tower range. R can remove tower from the equation for a set time.

Blitzcrank: Can pull you away from your tower. Passive can allow him to dive because it gives him a giant shield.

Brand: Q and W can poke outside of tower range.

Braum: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Caitlyn: Everything she has can poke outside of tower range.

Cassiopiea: Q and W can poke outside of tower range.

Cho'Gath: Q can poke outside of tower range. Ult heals him if he gets a kill with it, making him viable to dive if he can secure the kill.

Corki: Q and R can poke outside of tower range.

Dr.Mundo: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Draven: E and R can poke outside of tower range.

Ekko: Q can poke outside of tower range. W and R make him very good at diving.

Evelynn: R can let her dive, getting a kill and getting out of tower range.

Ezreal: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Fiddlesticks: E can poke outside of tower range. Q can also be used without drawing turret aggro, making him good for following up on dives.

Fiora: Has a 2 second CD dash, and a heal field with her ult.

Fizz: Troll pole.

Gangplank: Q and E and Q+E can all poke outside of tower range.

Garen: Gets a ton of damage reduction from his W, has a very easy time diving.

Gnar: Q in both forms can poke outside of tower range.

Gragas: Q can poke outside of tower range. R can knock you away from your tower.

Graves: Q and R can poke outside of tower range.

Heimerdinger: W and E can poke outside of tower range. Q can be used to take turret aggro for 1-2 shots.

Illaoi: Q and E can poke outside of tower range.

Irelia: E can poke outside of tower range.

Ivern: E can poke outside of tower range. Daisy can tank towers.

Jayce: Q and Q+E in gun form can poke outside of tower range.

Jhin: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Jinx: Rockets, and W can poke outside of tower range. R can also be used outside of tower range.

Kai'Sa: Gets a shield on her ult, making her good at diving. W can poke outside of tower range.

Kalista: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Karma: Q and R+Q can poke outside of tower range.

Karthus: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Katarina: Has dash resets to daggers, Q can poke outside of tower range.

Kayne: R causes him to lose turret aggro, W can poke outside of tower range. Can also use E to walk through walls, making it easy to get out after he dives you.

Kennen: Q and W can poke outside of tower range.

Kha'Zix: W can poke outside of tower range, E gets reset after he gets a kill once he evolves, letting him dive you and then jump back out.

Kindred: R causes her to be unable to die, giving her time to get out after diving you.

Kled: Passive lets him dive and kill you, then lose turret aggro when he gets knocked off Skarl.

Kog'Maw: Everything pokes outside of tower range.

Le'Blanc: Q and E can poke outside of tower range. Can hop back to her W, letting her dive very easily as she gets a free out.

Lee Sin: Mobile as hell, can kick you out from under tower.

Lissandra: Q can poke outside of tower range if used on minions, can ult herself to drop turret aggro.

Lucian: Q can poke outside of tower range if used on minions. W can poke outside of tower range.

Lulu: Q, especially if used with Pix, can easily poke outside of tower range. Ult makes her diving, or teammates diving much easier.

Lux: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Malphite: Passive shield makes it easier to dive. Q generally gives him enough movespeed to get out after ulting in.

Malzahar: Passive absorbs a tower shot, reducing 90% of it's damage. Q W and E can all poke outside of tower range.

Maokai: E can poke outside of tower range.

Miss Fortune: Q and R can poke outside of tower range, Q if used off a minion.

Mordekaiser: Passive makes him exceptional at diving.

Morgana: Q and W can be used outside of tower range. E lets her or teammates dive without worrying about CC.

Nami: Q and E can poke outside of tower range, movespeed and heal from her passive make diving much easier.

Nasus: Ult makes him have more health, making diving easier.

Nautilus: Gets a shield, mobility from his Q to get out, both making diving easier.

Nidalee: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Nocturne: Movespeed on his Q makes getting in and out from under tower after diving easy.

Nunu: Q heals, making diving easier.

Olaf: Q can poke outside of tower range. Can ult to dive without worrying about CC.

Orianna: Everything can poke outside of tower range. Can completely kill you under your tower without ever taking a tower shot with her Q R W E combo.

Pantheon: Passive can block tower shots, can refresh passive with his W, making diving exceptionally easy.

Poppy: Shield from her passive, her dash, and movespeed from her W can make diving easy for her.

Pyke: Can pull people out from their tower.

Quinn: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Rakan: Q can poke outside of tower range. E, if with another champion, makes getting under tower and outside of tower easy.

Rammus: Generally has a ton of armor, so he tanks towers like nothing. Q makes getting in and out very easy.

Reksai: Dived E makes getting out easy. Q can poke outside of tower range.

Renekton: Ult makes diving easy.

Riven: Q and E offer mobility under tower, E shields, makes diving easy.

Rumble: E and R can poke under tower. W movespeed can make diving easier.

Ryze: Q and E can poke outside of tower range.

Shaco: E can poke outside of tower range. Clone can tank the tower, making diving easy.

Singed: Runs fast as all hell, can fling you outside of your tower's range.

Sion: Q and E can poke outside of tower range. Passive makes diving easy, since even if he dies he can still trade kills.

Sivir: Q can poke outside of tower range. W can poke outside of tower range after bouncing off minions.

Skarner: Can drag you out from under tower, making diving easier.

Sona: Q can poke outside of tower range. R can also be used outside of tower range and still hit.

Soraka: Q and E can poke outside of tower range.

Swain: Q W and E can all poke outside of tower range.

Syndra: Q W and E can all poke outside of tower range.

Tahm Kench: Has two health bars with his E, can eat you and carry you out from under your tower.

Taliyah: Q, W, and E can poke outside of tower range.

Talon: Can jump over walls making diving easier, W can also poke outside of tower range.

Taric: Has his ult, making diving literally 0 risk.

Teemo: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Thresh: Can pull you out of tower range.

Tryndamere: Presses a button and becomes impossible to kill. Has the easiest time diving, since he can't die.

Twisted Fate: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Twitch: W and therefore Q can poke outside of tower range. R lets him auto you outside of tower range.

Udyr: BEAR TURTLE BEAR TURTLE BEAR TURTLE.....

Urgot: Q can poke outside of tower range.

Varus: Q and E can poke outside of tower range. R can also hit from outside of tower range.

Veigar: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Vel'Koz: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Viktor: E can poke outside of tower range. Q shield makes diving easier.

Vladimir: Turns into a period puddle.

Volibear: Passive makes diving extremely easy.

Warwick: is a %%%%.

Xayah: Just about everything can poke you outside of tower range.

Xerath: Everything can poke you from across the fucking map.

Yasuo: Has more dashes then the fucking spring Olympics if there's enemy minions.

Zac: Passive makes diving extremely easy.

Zed: Q and W+Q and W+E can all poke outside of tower range. Second activation of ult makes diving easy.

Ziggs: Everything can poke outside of tower range.

Zilean, Zoe, and Zyra: All have everything that can poke outside of tower range. Zilean has his ult, which makes diving easy as hell.

The fact that you named 100 champions with even one: defensive, mobility, or ranged ability makes me think you ultimately have no actual theory about why towers are unsafe and instead just listed everything that can be used to hurt someone under tower.

not to mention they are made of tissue paper (or sand in Azir's case) so late game 1/2 if not 3/4 of the champions can sneeze on a tower and destroy it. then there are those who are smart and go around via jungle and intercept you while you try to recall or cut off escape allowing someone else to come in for the kill.

Turrets arent meant to keep you safe. They are there to keep minions from being able to push into your base. Thats why its an objective

Tower defenses are going to be buffed during this preseason (see the Dev Corner for more details). I've also seen some Rioters mention a damage buff, but they haven't gone in-depth in any posts.

Cho's ult doesn't heal him if he kills someone with it. Just gives him extra health.

Towers so Weak as ap ezreal i threw a W at the inhib tower and Q for the lichbane proc and 1 shot the tower with an AA.

Towers should get a VU to make them look more like treasure chests.. because that is literally all they are at this point.

Try to keep the enemy team away from your towers because all they have to do is get close enough to them to hit the "open" button and they get gold.

The reason why is because every champ has their own kit. Saying that towers aren’t safe is like asking how u died on a 3 man dive under tower

I agree the threat of turrets has been low, or lowered from past, the simply reason for this is, Rito wants the rift games to be quicker and more action oriented, they are losing players to newer games with shorter games, people get bored playing long games, endlessly farming...making turrets easy after min 10 is part of that effort, together with buffing late game champs early game (i.e. vayne) as late game never comes, or making flashy champs which are nice to look at and can do plays which quicken flow of the game

why I remember games where I destroyed bot turret with tristana before first back, about 5 mins into the game...and i didnt have ziggs as lane partner, if I had that it could have been in 4:30 probably

more than adc or demolish procs Im worried about how AP champs can now push turrets, veigar has 1k AP by min 30 no problem and he can literary two shot a turret with AAs, but it doesnt have to be this crazy AP, I played AP kennen sup a few games back and despite me having like 150 or 200 AP only I was dealing serious turret damage, better than adc...in my opinion they need to tone down on that, AP champs were never meant to be pushing beasts, but now they are
