Jungle XP keeps getting nerfed, what is the logic behind this?

"Clamping ahead case XP. The more ahead you are in levels of your target, the less XP you get."

I don't understand why Riot is persistent on making the jungle play style so binary. We used to have multiple ways to approaching the playstyle on jungle

You could play a gank heavy jungler (IE LeeSin, Elise), which would benefit players who wanted to play their teammates at the cost of losing farm for them selves. The idea was that you would not have the time to farm both the jungle and gank. The jungle monsters were tough to the point that trying to clear the jungle fully would leave you too low of HP to actually gank reliable.

The other playstyle was the heavy farm type, l like Udyr, Shyvana, Yi..etc. The idea was that your teammates wouldn't get reliable ganks early game but you would get ahead in experience/gold to impact the lanes later on. A Shyvana would get out of the jungle lvl 6 slightly faster than any of the other lanes.

The other, not so much popular play style was counter jungle. Yes, it still exits. Yes, it's still effective but NO where close to what was. Every season, it has gotten worse. XP/Gold has gotten lower per camp. Vision has been limited. Taking buffs was major because (XP/Gold was higher) and there were multiple monsters. You could leave one monster so makes sure the jungler (or lanes it is given to) would be set behind. It was risky, but the benefits were there. camps also used to give buffs if you use smite (raptors, wolves..etc). More importantly, there was even (while crappy item) a counter jungling jungle item.

Jungle has been constantly getting nerfed, getting reworked, and getting dumb downed for no reason. It makes no sense. Every jungler, every player has the same play style now. Yet, lanes, like mid, still get their "hyper carry, do nothing for x minutes" champions like Nasus, Cass, Veig, Kog...etc.

Just revert some of these changes. I don't see why a Lee Sin should be able to gank better and still clear the jungler faster than a jungler like Shyvana early game when her ganks are horrible in comparison. Bring back the diversity

I have been saying this same thing for months. They also made clearing the jungle throughout the game much more difficult which fucked a lot of junglers too. A few months ago I went through to look at jungle champion win rates (this was in the midst of all the adcs crying) and saw clearly that there were a significantly larger percentage of adcs with higher than 50% win rates than jungle champs. And not by a small margin. The entire "strength" of the jungle was in Vi, Lee, Khazix, Rengar, and Shaco. These are all just very strong ganking champions. This makes sense because the only way I've found to actually keep up is to "gank." and by "gank" i mean show up in lane regardless of my chances of success, shoving the lane and stealing cs/xp after Ive cleared my jg.

Udyr has been dead in the water since they made camps spawn less frequently. The changes on the pbe will do nothing for him.

At least when camps spawned faster, you were more willing to go try to gank before you cleared. Now if you gank and lose half your jungle on the other side of the map, you get pretty screwed unless you pick up a kill for yourself and stick around for some xp.

Now with the increased camp spawn times, counter jungling is a waste unless you know FOR SURE there are camps there to take. Last season if you went in to counter jungle, there was at least a decent chance you'd pick up some farm. Now more often than not, you're just wasting your time walking into the enemy jungle.

Riot even admitted junglers and supports were consistently the most underleveled roles in the game. Combine that with the diminished strength of jungle items compared to real items when you look at their ability to fight an enemy champion, we are talking about a major disadvantage. God forbid you die once early game, you're pretty much useless.

This all came from people bitching that the jungle was too strong. It was never "too strong." It just felt that way because every time you saw the enemy jungler early, it was him ganking you which is a 2v1. As of right now, if a jungler does nothing but farm (aka if his lanes are constantly over extended whenever he's in their neighborhood and can't do anything with it) and can't counterjungle himself a camp lead, solo lanes will out level the jungler by two levels when they hit level 7 if they haven't backed. There is no reason why the jungle, which is also technically a solo lane, should be so under leveled.

I dunno. Probably cause it's annoying for JG to be ahead of Mid/Top in level considering how strong of duelists many of them are.
