Can't decide if I want to use blitz vs thresh

My problem is I can land a hook with thresh but that doesn't mean gg. If the enemy support can heal or shield then the enemy adc can counter engage and we die ._. :(

Don't use Blitz against any tanky support.

Or, don't pull their support at all if they aren't threatened by your pull.

Thresh has more utility all around and is a god of kiting with 40% cdr. Blitz is all about making one game changing pull.

Thresh is definitely the better support. Blitz needs to be actually successful in lane to really be useful mid-late game. If his team falls behind, he's just a hunk of metal left behind. Thresh is a really great support because he has the support properties, engage properties, and disengage. His lantern makes for great plays and can even aid in a comeback (cough baron steal). Further more, he passively gains armor during the laning phase, meaning he can build tank as well, easier than blitz can.
