Blitzcrank's skills are outdated

Blitzcrank is an outdated champion, and really needs to be looked at. I want to mainly talk about his ult, but his Q is very powerful too. It has a 300 base damage at max level, and a 100% AP ratio. This is a VERY high damage skill with great utility; a pull. They should really lower the base damage and ratio on his Q. It isn't meant for damage, it's meant for its utility. Now his Ult... they need to change something on this. It is an AoE, Silence, nuke on a very short CD. 500 Base Damage at max level with a 100% AP ratio... and it silences... and it's AoE... and it's every 30 seconds without any CDR... I'm not even adding in it's passive. The passive does 300 Base Damage + 100% AP every 2.5 seconds to near-by random enemies. I think that this is fine, because it's only active while his ult is up. They really need to tone down its Base Damage, AP ratio, and increase its CD. It is a short Silence, I know that, but it still adds on to this ult. An AoE nuke shouldn't be available every 30 secs (18 seconds with 40% CDR).

Also: compare the damage between blitzcrank's pull and Thresh's pull. 300 + 100% AP to 240 + 50% AP. Thresh's is way weaker than Blitzcrank's... Thresh item 3070

Maybe there is a reason he has such a powerful ult, and if there is, please tell me. What's the reasoning behind this? Blitzcrank

I think Blitz is fine how he is. In bot lane he is being built for support so technically he shouldn't have too much additional AP. If he is being used as an attack role then he is going to be sacrificing his health which honestly doesn't scale without buying tankier items. So he will be squishy. And this just requires you to have more skill than him to beat him.

The Hook is fine because it is a pretty skillful shot and if you get hit then thats his reward, also 9 sec CD. The Ult is Blitz's wow factor. Every enemy has something that is relatively OP about them that no one else has and that is his.

Blitz is essentially an engage only champion. Once he is in he is locked down. The AOE silence is his only escape route. The high damage can either be a warning or a game changer and that's what he is picked for.

Thresh has options between engage and disengage. He can, with his hook, stun people, pull them, pull himself toward them. He can engage more or disengage with his flay. And his ult can either trap people in or keep them out. That is why he does less base damage with his items. He is more of a playmaker.

Blitz can do any build he wants and no matter if he chooses damage (ad or ap) or utility, he is just as viable either way. I personally don't think a champion should have that designation, and Blitz isn't the only one in that category.

Why shouldn't champions be adaptable? I think all champions should have levels of adaptability because then it puts the gameplay on the intelligence of the player not on reliance of champion ability or OPness.

I think there is a fundamental difference between adaptability and versatility. Blitz is the latter - no matter which way you decide to go, there isn't a whole lot of trade-off. If he was adaptable, you would be sacrificing a lot for something else. I know that sounds confusing. I don't think there is anything wrong at all with adaptability, but I think if he is going to be played one way, it should cost him in another area. Whether blitz builds a heavy support or even damage, whether ad or ap, it's his utility that makes him deadly either way. I think that no matter which way he decides to go, there isn't enough of a trade-off for the other areas. That's why I think it is unfair.

blitz pull lasts for like a second where as thresh lasts so much longer, so if the cc is longer why should it do the same damage?

I'm all for lowering damage if they lower the mana cost on it. It cost more than Grave's buckshot at the moment and it is subpar if it didn't deal high damage, really.

Also, comparing grab to Thresh is REALLY BAD because Thresh has an AoE CC + slow and an AoE shield IN ADDITION to his longer-CC-duration pull. Blitzcrank lacks utility when compared to Thresh.
