Jax's Skill icons don't make sense

I got bored, and decided to take a look at Jax's skills. The first thing I noticed are his awful skill icons.

Passive: Increases attack speed for consecutive hits - has an icon of him catching a fish. I'm not really sure how that relates to the skill.

Q: Allows him to jump to an enemy to damage them - has an icon of a sword slashing someone in the back (head?). I didn't know that he used a sword.

W: Empowers his next Basic attack or Q - has an icon of Jax glowing. This one is the only icon that makes sense, sorta.

E: Allows him to dodge all basic attacks for a short time, then stun all nearby enemies - has an icon of someone dropping a sword. Not really sure how dropping a sword relates to dodging attacks. The skill IS called Counter Strike, which would match the icon, but the icon doesn't match the skill description.

R: Allows Jax to deal extra damage on every 3rd Basic attack, and the active gives him extra AR and MR - has an icon of a guy getting punched by Jax and getting confused. Not really sure how this relates to the skill either.

ANYWAYS, I think Jax could use some new skill icons!

I know that the passive icon is an old lore reference, as the fishing pole was one of his few allowed weapons in the League. The other ones I have no idea, maybe they are from before his rework? Either way, I totally agree that he needs some new ones.

I agree they need a touch up! Let me explain them though!

Passive used to be called "Weapon Mastery" he's holding a fishing rod from his old lore:

The most prolific tournament fighter at the Institute of War, the self-proclaimed "Grandmaster at Arms" rattled off a streak of consecutive wins 152 long. No one had ever achieved even half of that number before, but what made it even more remarkable was that he did so while fighting only 152 matches. Concerned the peace accords that ended the Rune Wars would be threatened by a fighter who was unbeatable in the arena, the League hastily banned Jax from the arena all together. But in the spirit of the Institute, the League eventually relented, stating that a champion’s skill was no reason to remove a realm’s access to the governing powers of the tournaments. Jax was reinstated, but with one rule: He is only allowed to fight with weapons the League deems suitable. For now, that list includes a lamppost, a chicken’s foot, a spatula, and a fishing rod.

His Leap Strike (Q) is an image of a club coming down on a minion's head after he leaps to it

Empower (W) is kind of showing his "aura of empowerment"

Counter Strike (E) used to passively increase dodge chance, and after you dodged an attack you could active E and stun all enemies around him. The icon is Jax knocking sword out of the hand of his opponent. Illustrating the counter attack.

His ultimate (R) used to be "Relentless Assault" so it is an image of Jax pummeling a minion.... relentlessly....

His Q actually makes sense. It hasn't ever looked like a sword to me either, it looks like a stick, which makes sense for his Q because he's leaping to an enemy and smacking them over the head with his lamp.

jax ult is helmet bro. Duh. passive: he quick like neemo duh. E is him disarming someone. W shows his lamp lighting on fire/being empowered. Q is him jumping behind the enemy to leap onto him :p

Also for the record it takes 3 pulls to take a fish 1 to bait 2 to set hook perm 3 to pull out of water evenutally. It's also one of his few allowed weapons in league... the fishing pole.

Thats why their doing the texture rebalances and updating skill icons like, singed, tristana as well as the ones that came with champion updates like moakai, sona, viktor, sion. IT WILL COME…. just have to wait

Personally I think that's part of Jax's charm is a champ. Since he's the arms master, he really has nothing to prove, hense his icons don't really have to "particularly" highlight his capabilities. Hell, dude's nerfed himself with a lamp for the sole reason that his skills can keep up with his mouth.
