So what exactly is the logic behind why we can't build rune pages in champ select?

Is it something as simple as Riot would sell less rune pages? Or is there an actual justifiable reason?

The only reason i can think of is a "just to be safe" kind of issue. I mean people complain about their masteries and runes to begin with. And i would say at the very least Masteries are easier to do really quickly, than runes because of the sheer amount a person can have in their collections. Youll be too into looking through your runes that you might not save in time, or put in the wrong runes that you mess up game!

I do feel like they should allow it if they are going to allow Masteries as well!

I think it's less real world logic and more programming logic. Riot has said(although to what extent is the truth, I'm not sure) that the game client has extremely severe spaghetti codes and all that. I'm going to make a guess and say that the spaghetti code limits what they can change in the client. However, I think they're making a new client? Right? So maybe they'll fix it. Who knows...

id really like to hope so.

I could never bring myself to buy pages for runes, it seems maximum sellout. Im all for supporting devs but tbh rune pages costing so much is absurd.

It's almost certainly to sell more rune pages.

Shit, the game is free, and there are relatively few "monetized" aspects of the game currently. I'm pretty okay with them crossing their fingers that we'll whip out our credit cards for more rune pages.
