Wtf is wrong with you Riot

How about instead you leave Janna unbuffed and you nerf Thresh a bit or even how about you buff Taric or something

I wouldn't consider the change a buff.

From 5% MS in all directions to 8% MS ONLY when moving towards her? It no longer does any good for chasing, although it helps escaping more (given her other abilities though, is disengage really her problem?).

The MS passive buffs she received elsewhere are probably compensation for her never getting the 5% MS out of her own passive due to it being impossible to move towards herself.

I don't think that's a buff. For instance, you get no bonus movement speed when chasing fleeing enemies alongside Janna.

Well if you actaully read it it is a nerf to her passive

Allies only get the movement speed when moving towards Janna.

This means Janna does not get the movement speed from her passive.

The buff her her W makes her the same speed with W up but slower when it is down.

So I would overall say it is a nerf to janna.
