Smurfs and Their Affect on the Community - As Well As The Proposals To Fix The Issues

I feel sorry for the new players that come to League of Legends for the first time. This is such an amazing game, yet, most new players give up after playing a few matches due to the sheer number of people who get to 30, then create a smurf account and pick on low levels that are not on the same level of skill. This is a huge issue due to the obvious fact that League of Legends is skill based, not so much as level based like other games. Therefore I ask for the community to propose ideas to help those new players that are just now coming into league. Come up with a proposition to help reduce the problem of smurfs ruining the enjoyment of new players. If you think an idea sounds like a good plan, just reply to them with a simple "I agree" so we can get a poll going.
I WILL NOT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE REMARKS ON THIS THREAD PLEASE. ANY INSULTS OF ANY KIND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED, AND WILL BE REMOVED!

So far, I have come up with the following plan.

-MAKE KILLS AND DEATHS A FACTOR FOR MATCHMAKING- Its so simple its ridiculous... all that would be needed to fix the smurf issue is to just make it so kills and deaths become a factor. A level 6 going 20-3 shouldn't have his next match with a player who went 6-5 or 3-20. As far as parties go, if there is that 20-3 player, who is grouping with a 3-20 player, that party should still be put into a lobby with people on the skill level of the better player. That way, there will be no abusing of the party system to play against players of lower skill level. Also, if needed, make skill level a more important factor in matchmaking over the basic level factor. So that there will be no shortage of lobbies to join for any skill level.

Again, if you agree with my proposal or have an adaptation to it, please just reply and state your ideas and opinions below.

a lot of people who are smurfs are like bronze players who tanked their MMR and want to start over. only problem I have with smurfs is like the plat/challenger streamers whos sole purpose is to roflstomp on people

Actually, you would be amazed at how well a bronze can play against level 5 people playing their first batch of matches

Knowing the a good build is all the advantage they need, then they stomp on the 3 or so noobs, get uber-fed and then stomp the 2 decent players that are left trying to carry.

Hell, my buddy is a silver 2, and he went 40/3 with a Lux when he grouped up with me when I first started playing. I had to force him to play champs for the first time after that cause he loved doing that. I thought it was unfair as he was level 30 and he was using his good champs to go hard on noobs.

So its not just plat/challengers.

I have an idea to help new players. A sponsor system! Seasoned above level 30 players with a minimum amount of games played/won can sign up to be a sponser. When you create an account Q up for your first pvp match you get a very large pop up advertisement recommneding that you sign up to be paired with a sponser. There should be a way for the new player to rate the sponser and give them points of some kind so the sponsers have reasons to both sign up and help the new players. Also a minor ip boost if a sponser plays a match with their assigned noob. Some sort of special reward system for sponsors who guide the noobies through the early learning curves, perhaps milestones for helping X amount of noobs reach level 30 and milestones for x amount of positive feedback from the noobs just like the honor system, a helpful sponsor button.

This will give them the tools to fight back at the lvl 5 plat smurf facerolling everybody with leblanc. they will sometimes have their own lvl 30 experienced player on their team, and will have someone to teach them what to do when there is a facerolling leblanc..along with someoen to tell them not to waste ip on tier 1 runes, explain the general meta, what jungling is, what the buffs do, why support marksman bot, whats a marksman, the different types of damage, how to know what to build, etc..

That would be a massive overhaul to the entire system, not saying its a bad idea, it sounds pretty cool, but that would take a massive amount of time to implement. I'm more looking for something that is a bit of a quicker and easier fix to the entire problem. There would still be matches where low level players were up against higher levels.

sometimes there is no quick fix...other than banning multiple accounts...which they won't do. I know with relative certaintity that they endorse it. Every once in a while i hear an announcer say "he's been playing X champ a lot on his "main account" so they obviously are fine with multiple accounts. Its possible that there could be some sort of gap measure that is a smaller undertaking, but i don't think anything quick and easy is going to solve this one.

Smurfing pre - 30 shouldn't really affect other people starting the game that are pre-30 as well eventually Riot detects your account is a smurf and matches you up with other smurfs.

Again, you'd be surprised. When you are first starting out, you are so new to the game, you don't know how to build, or how to use your abilities right. Earlier, I got into a lobby against a LeBlanc that went 25/2 that kept bming my whole team in private chat. Its really ridiculous.

Also, I don't know about anyone else, but smurfs bother me the most when they use champions like LeBlanc, Katarina, Nidalee, etc. The brokenly overpowered pansy champs that everyone uses cause they are so op.
