Can We Not Lose LP During Series?

Every loss in series counts as a normal game of LP, why not instead have it where if you lose series you just get reset to 75 LP?

Well if you get back into series, you get the bonus win. So that kind of makes up for it.

I do agree its really rough in 5 game series... I got trolled all 3 losses in a row and had to win 3 games in a row because I went back down to 45LP after promos. Thankfully I won them straight and then went 3-1 in in the 2nd round.

You do, but you only lose it if you lose series. It is to stop the MMR/LP conversion getting out of whack.

If your MMR is really good and you go Loss Win Loss in your series, you will come out of your series on 90 points. If your MMR is really bad and you go Loss Win Loss in your series, you will come out of your series on 70 points.

It is especially notable in the best of 5 series.

If you lose all three of your first matches, you will be back down to 40-50 points, but going WLWLL will only leave you on 80.
