Give Tryndamere a reason to team fight situationally, so he isn't so boring to play against / with.

How about if mocking shout provided damage reduction rather than reduced attack damage but the slow stays the way it is.

Instead of applying an effect that causes 20 / 35 / 50 / 65 / 80 AD reduction on everyone within 400 range for 4 seconds:

Apply a mark which causes 2% / 4% / 6% / 8% / 10% reduced damage output for each ally within 400 range for 4 seconds.

in a 1v1 its just 10% damage reduction for 4 seconds rather than 80 AD reduction. If you tag 3 people with it and they stay close to other then it is potentially 6% / 12% / 18% / 24% / 30% reduced damage output for 4 seconds if they continue to remain clumped up. The most ideal circumstance would be like in dragon pit or baron pit, hitting all 5 people, which would reduced damage output by 50% for 4 seconds assuming they can't spread out and the skill is max rank.

It is considerably weaker in 1v1 now though. 80 AD reduction is basically 20% damage reduction on a 400 AD carry, and 40% damage reduction on a 200 AD bruiser, assuming ad scaling abilities and auto attacks only. Even taking into account base damage, mocking shout's effectivness would go down by atleast half in a 1v1 or 1v2.

That makes him marginally easier to deal with in a split push, and although he is still pretty garbage for most team fights, it gives him a reason to team fight every once in a while when the enemy team is guaranteed to be clumped up, like at baron or dragon.

He is still going to be a pain in the ass to play against and will still split push alot, but atleast now you have windows during which he will want to team fight. You won't be frustrated that he won't help secure baron, or angry that he doesn't do anything other than split push all day; he actually has an excuse to team fight under very specific and infrequent circumstances.

I mean I don't like being forced to split push ALL DAY as Trynd any more than the people I am playing against. I'd like to have the capacity to mix it up with a team fight two or three times a game and not be worse off for it. Until then Trynd players just have to keep splitting, and people who play against Trynd are just going to have to put up with Tryndamere players splitting all day.

Give me an excuse to team fight every once in a while.

No, that's his play style. If you don't like it don't play him simple as. Stop reworking champions that are perfectly fine (Not accounting crit since thats just broken as a whole) because they are "boring" and thus completely destroying their play style and identity when there are so many dedicated mains who love the champ.

I am as dedicated as they come. I've got 5000 games with this champion and I remember playing him during season 2 before his rework when he was expected to team fight late game.

Split pushing is not his identity. Being immune to death and delivering large auto attacks is his identity.

When I said identity I was generalising previous cases of reworks, but in this one I'm talking about his play style which you clearly chose to ignore.

As he already said, splitpush is not his identity. Nerfs, new champs, and meta shifts have just pigeonholed him into it as the only viable option His ult used to be used to wreak havoc, not run away.

As long as he is kited so easily there is no reason to teamfight with him.

Flank the carries with w and bork he's not as kiteable as you think, but in an organized team fight you're right.
