Why did you have to disable Gangplank?

I'm as big a lore nerd as it gets, and I love it when lore affects gameplay.

But I don't like it when lore only LIMITS my gameplay. Its funny as a joke notification, but not if it's real. What about all the people who want to play Gangplank? He's a new champion with new mechanics; he's got a pretty high pick rate at the moment.

I hope you don't do something like this again in the future, and I hope this only persists for a day. (And seriously, why not capitalize on spooky gangplank?)

And honestly, who thinks he's ACTUALLY dead?

Fantasy setting. Explosion with some obvious survivors (like the ones trying to get on TF's and Graves' raft) No body produced. Bad ass main character.

There are plenty of champions who 'don't exist' with the lore in the state that it's in, and there are plenty of champions who are literally just dead.

hes gonna be disabled for like a coupe of hours, and then we get the next part of the story that tells us he ate some oranges when the ship blew up.

Its funny because people have been using that cinematic as a reason to dunk annie for months. Now we see why lore based gameplay changes suck.

Personally, I hate it when lore affects gameplay. I even dislike the fact that Leona's passive deals 1 less damage to champions with sunglasses, for instance. Maybe someone wanted to practice Gangplank...nope! I mean, personally I don't play Gangplank and find the disabling slightly hysterical, but still I think it just shouldn't be done.

Logged in to play GP. Saw he's diabled because of.. yeah, because of what ? Some lore stuff. I disapprove, because i don't see the benefit in that. The smallest number of people will think "hehe, GP dead in Lore and now dead in Game, HOW COOL IS THAT ?!?!?!". A wide larger number of people will simply be pissed off they can't play the champion they want to because of no valid reason. I, instead of playing, because i'm not allowed, am typing this damn message....
