Please just stop with the "Nerf Ekko" stuff.
You do realize that every single time a new champion gets released, this is half of the boards? You simply cannot determine whether Ekko is good right now or not, no one has a lot of experience with him, no one has a lot of experience against him.
Right now his win rate is very poor, about 45%. Is that because he's extremely overpowered and easy to learn? No, it's because he's a brand new champion and no one knows what to do.
Yes, his kit looks ridiculous when you point out all of the positives.
Let me give you an example:
There's this brand new champion coming out! He's super overpowered and Riot is literally cancer.
He has a long range, low cooldown, single target abilities. A TARGETED SNARE, you have no way to get out of it, unless you want to waste your money on something useless (cringe) like a mercurial scimitar or die from his damage. Another AOE ability that reduces everyone's MR so he can blow them up better, his ultimate gives him so much free shit it's kind of ridiculous, he get movement speed ALL OF HIS ABILITIES MAGICALLY BECOME AOE (riot pls) and he gets a shit load of CDR for FREE. That's not even mentioning that he gets a huge shield all the time, and his cooldowns are lowered by his low cooldowns! He doesn't even fucking have cooldowns! Also, he has the lowest winrate in the entire game and an extremely simple kit that anyone can learn.
It's obviously Ryze, and you probably didn't think it sounded too overpowered because you KNEW it was Ryze, but just looking at all that stuff make him look pretty damn overpowered, doesn't it?
Let's look at Ekko. His Q is an ability, that's pretty much all I have to say. The first parts sorta hard to dodge, the second part depends on how bad you are at the game. I'm exaggerating a bit, but the second part of Q ain't that hard to doge.
People seem to think his W is super easy to dodge, or super hard to dodge. Sure, it has a 3 second delay, and that's only for Ekko. You only get a .5 second or whatever delay. First of all, he always puts it in a predictable place. Because he doesn't know where you will be in 3 seconds, he is the one who has to guess . The radius is sorta big, but unless you're directly in the center (meaning Ekko is a god at predicting and deserves to hit it) you can probably get out before it becomes active. And then after it's active, he has to physically be inside it. If worse comes to worse, stay away from Ekko when he uses it and it won't matter where he put it. You can't always do this, obviously, but if there was an ability you could escape every single time if would be a shitty ability, now wouldn't it?
His E is good. It's a little hop like Lucian or Graves have (maybe a bit shorter? Not sure) but the second part requires a target. Not just any target either, it requires an enemy target. Yes, he can go over walls with it. If he has vision of you, you're in range of it, and if it's only a good idea (if you're an extremely fed Rengar, then fun times for you). No, it doesn't do very good damage. Like at all. Shitty base damage at level 1, average at rank 5, and very, very bad scaling.
His ultimate. This thing has some of the highest damage in the game, heals him, and makes him untargetable while he uses it.
It also has a 4 second delay, that up date in real-time, and shows you EXACTLY WHERE IT WILL BE WHEN HE USES IT Yes, I understand, you can't be focused on that at every single stage of the game, maybe your in a teamfight (or bad at the game...) or something like that. You can't keep track of everything, that's fine. But would you rather keep track of their tank, or the imminent 1000 damage nuke, one of the only nukes in the game you can actually predict 100% of the time? And I'm just going to refer to my W statement, if you could dodge this ability every single time , it wouldn't be a very good ability.
Also, when he uses his ultimate, he's an assassin directly in the middle of your team. Don't fucking run away, he has too many ways to catch up. Just blow him up, I know you can.
I realize this post is only showing the negatives, but considering 50% of the front page is just people whining and stating the positives, I think it's warranted.
There's another post that's at the top right now, giving a moment of silence for the most balanced champion in the game, Vel'Koz.
I don't know how long anyone here has been playing League, but when Vel'Koz first came out, everyone thought he was going to be overpowered, and he turned out to be one of the most balanced.
TL;DR: Just wait. I don't need you cluttering up my forums with you saying Ekko is overpowered. I understand it, it's frustrating fighting an opponent you don't know about, but just suck it up and play through it. You aren't going to win every battle, and it's not always because your opponent has a stronger champion. Before you make that post about him being overpowered, just wait.
In 2+ weeks, he has a 55% win rate and turns out to be the most overpowered champion ever (I know if you think that you haven't been here long (cough Xin-Zhao, Olaf cough) then congratulations, you were right. But my point still stands for the next champion whose going to be "overpowered" as well.
Also, for another example (jesus christ I'm rambling) many people thought Bard would be very strong as well, with an ultimate that can stop so many ultimates, the longest non-ultimate gap closer in the game, etc.
