How about a new idea?
When you que for ranked or normals you que as a Role or secondary Role and get a mini portrait over your summoner icon.
This way you could effectively form teams of people that don't argue over roles and also have a normal banning phase.
Having 1-2 secondary roles would also reduce que times if its not possible to quickly find five separate primary roles.

Draft pick/ban phase is critical to the spirit of a ranked match. I can't believe they would let people play blind and have it be the same.
My suggestion is really more of an idea to improve match making in the current system.

Oh, reddit has news that doesn't get advertised anywhere else. Big surprise. Anyhow no date on it so put it with sandbox mode and that dragon champion that never came out.

its isn't blind. Basically it is draft pick, but you que up for specific roles rather than specific champions.
Deep Terror Nami1 votesIdk if the MMR will be separate or shared between Ranked Draft Pick, but the pick/ban phase will be the same. The only difference is that each person already has their role decided.
