Why is Edge of Night's CD so low (includes Yomuu's)

Riot made Zhonyas really shitty to buy because it's not even stat efficient and you just get it for the ZOMG best active in the game (according to riot) and gave it a two minute cooldown Meanwhile AD champs are getting Yomuu's and Edge of Night, which are extremely stat efficient, make an enemy's armor useless and to top that off, have incredibly good actives, which both have an extremely low cool down. I thought items were supposed to have trade offs. But I guess not.

Lethality actually does the opposite of make Armor useless, provided that you've built armor.

Anyway, Edge of Night's short CD is due to it's channel time. An Assassin needs to channel it before going in; using it in combat is hardly ever probable, since even auto-attacking causes it to cancel. The trade off is that you generally just get one-go of it per combat session.

Youmuu's only grants movement speed, so it's not really much of an issue. It's arguably underbuilt by it's intended, most powerful users. They're all building Black Cleaver atm. But it is being nerfed by 5 Lethality next patch.

Zhonyas active is way better than item 3814 active

Youmuu's active is pretty garbage. They already removed the attack speed. Its also getting nerfed next patch

Youmuu's active is incredibly good? It gives movement speed. It's like a temporary +70 movement speed(Using 325 move speed champion with basic boots as an example) for 6 seconds. Mobis gives 115 for an entire duration that you're not attacked. How is Youmuu's active "incredible"? It isn't, it's an okay active but not game changing like Zhonyas. Edge of Night is a pretty good active, it's a banshees veil on command, thing is it requires a channel time and is only used for engages, not for your team to catch up when you Morgana ult and stun an entire team while being invulnerable, or Fiddle ult and wither the enemy down to nothing, again while being invulnerable. It's for a basic engage(and you don't even get away in most situations if you do engage with it), or a way to dodge an ability if you're running away. Not saying Edge of Night isn't a good active, but it's not going to give you time to wait for your cooldowns after engaging, and it's not going to give you the safety of waiting for your team to follow up either.

Zhonyas gives CDR, armor(more than EoN's MR), AP, and it's active. EoN gives AD, MR, Lethality, OoC movement speed, and it's active. If you add Lethality on top of the AD it's 75 AD, and that's with a level 18 enemy. That's 5 more AD(again at level 18) than AP on Zhonyas, and 10 less MR than armor from Zhonyas. I'd say they're pretty similar, aside from the fact that instead of CDR, a stat that is infinitely better than OoC movement speed, EoN gets the latter.

Thats why I no longer buy zhonya's on most mages and just go archangel staff with two rod of ages then deathcap and whatever else I need. Either they buff the amount of AP that zhonya's gives or they buff deathcap back to the 140 AP that it used to give or else I'll never buy zhonya's again. Death cap is just mandatory to me but zhonya's isn't.
