Will Cass' grounded stop an in-progress dash?

Nebuul··2 votes·7,418 views

I assume it will not stop a flash that goes over it, but what about dashes? For example, if Cass puts W between her adc Kog'Maw and the enemy LeBlanc, can LeBlanc dash over the poison cloud if she doesn't start it in, or will w interrupt the dash kind of like a weaker poppy w?

It doesn't stop in-progress dashes. It just prevents them from being cast.

Cool, thanks for the info!

Does grounded debuff last while they are in the circle, or for as long as they are poisoned by it?

So does this mean it even prevents the casting of spells like Malphite's Unstoppable Force and Sion's Unstoppable Onslaught? Also, how does this interact with Alistar? Will he be able to Ult-break the CC and then headbutt pulverize combo?

Malphite's unstoppable force is immune to all CC, this should include grounded.

Sion's Unstoppable Onslaught is a Movespeed Buff, not a movement ability.

Alistar removes all CC tho grounded will be not in effect when he casts headbutt. Though Im not sure if he has enough time to cast headbutt, when he uses the ult while inside the cloud before it reapplies the debuff.

Given the info it will likely effect Malphite since it stops the casting of of all mobility abilities.

But Sion is hard to call since it acts like a speed boost but it is also kinda a transformation into a different form.

My guess is that it will not effect Sion.

that's weird because i just played a game where it did stop an in air alistar w. it also stopped my ult as ahri. and this made me mad because ahri charm used to stop dashes too. and yes i know this because i used to predict leblanc w's sorry fot bumping this old threat

Repertoir has stated that "Grounded" prevents ANY dashes or blinks, including liss E, flash, ahri ult, anything stopped by poppy W as well. Speed ups like udyr's everything or rammus Q are not effected.

Some Rioter said it's like limited silence, so it would suggest it won't.

In other words it's a worse version of Soraka's Equinox.

On the other hand, what about Jarvan's EQ combo? It's a dash, but separately those abilities do nothing.

I'm not 100% sure, but if I recall correctly, J4 can use his dash even while rooted so this case will probably be similar.

Duke Anax1 votes

Might be Jarvan'q counts as a self diplacement ability, not a movement ability.

How about Nautilus and Thresh?

Zero Skill Tank1 votes

Naut can't cast Dredge Line when rooted, but if he gets rooted in meantime, he will still dash.

IDK about Thresh, but would suspect it's the same behavior.

Duke Anax1 votes

Then it would be odd if Jarvan could do it.

J4 could always dash while immobilized.

Oooh I hope so, if not only to piss off Ahri players

You realize that Ahri isn't prevented from using her movement speed boost on Q with this change right? She could still just run away from you with the Q and then dash if necessary afterwards.

You realize I was reference to the Ahri charm changes, not about her mobility.
