stop using ignite on supports
do you guys realise how strong exhaust is? lmao
do you guys realise how strong exhaust is? lmao
I always ask my support to bring Ignite because I'm bad. I seriously need my support to do maximum damage. Unless I'm going against a fucking Caitlyn Nautilus where all I have to do is freeze lane and farm and they'll be useless in 15 minutes anyway.
Ignite is better to be honest for hard engage supports who want to win lane it has a shorter cool down it blocks out heal from the adc well your's still gets full value.
Edit: the only support I use exhaust on is Janna that's it.
hard engage supports
So peoples like blitz, Leona, Alistar, thresh..
You make a lot of sense. Ill try that out sometime! but I don't see myself taking it when I play lulu or sona. or should I?
Its situational, sometimes Ignite is better than exhaust.
that and everyone either is using cleanse now or using champions with ults that let them ignore slows/exhaust like master yi/alistar/olaf or they build a silver sash, so ignite has just become more of a viable pick over exhaust for now anyways.
I honestly don't get the point of ignite on supports. Why do pros do it?
I would imagine is for a support that is capable of doing a strong all-in combined with the desired strategy being to get your ADC fed early and let them snowball (or just outright shut down the enemy adc).
Exhaust is better late game, no doubt. Mid laners have taken ignite instead of exhaust, even against zed/yasuo/talon for some time though, so there's obviously a reason for it :P
It's for snowballing your lane with high kill pressure and/or countering healers. If you think you can reliably peel assassins off your carry (or they have none), then Ignite may be more useful than Exhaust.
bunch of salty nerds downvoting me wow i smell bronze
"MUH SNOWBALL LANE FROM IGNITE" UNTIL the fed assassain jumps on your adc and 1 shots him
what did i tell you kiddies use exhaust
I agree that taking ignite as a support is pretty ridiculous and generally evidence that maybe the support role isn't quite for you, but... I got to say, I haven't become a big fan of exhaust either and I've seen it work as it theoretically should maybe once every 10 games or so even when you're playing a support like Leona who normally goes right into the middle of a fracas.
