The Sword Saint1 votesI get the impression that one of the reasons many people hate Riven is the actually has so many ways to be outplayed or strategist against that when you decide to not bother to do any of them because you don't know how or are too lazy to change your normal playstyle its actually kind of humiliating.
It's like they just want to deal with riven on her own terms and beat her, even if they actually are less familiar with their champion than the riven player is with hers (lets face it, riven is one of those champs where people who play her tend to play her alot more often then other people tend to play any one particular champion).

The Sword Saint1 votesActually Riven players have to change how they play basically every single lane matchup to account for enemy spells, summoners, whether they can fight or run at all from the jungler, etc.... just like every other champion. Specific combos, baiting methods, zoning methods, when to shield and when to q, how many qs to use for offence and how many to use to back off when trading, etc.
Lazily dismissing her options and how she adapts is one of the common ways people die to riven.

LOL, Riven mains are stealing tactics from Jinx mains "No, my champ isn't broken, its just that Riven players PLAY her so much that they can run rings around everyone else just based on skilled reps."
(For the record, I like Riven (don't main her tho), I've just seen this argument too much now for a champion I absolutely LOATHE)
