alleged separate MMR for separate queues

I remember reading a post that referenced an official Riot something-or-other, that claimed there is separate MMR for all queues. However.. I'm skeptical of this. Default MMR is 1200, or silver-ish, right?

that should mean that if a total noob, just played blind pick, and tanked their MMR there... but then started playing draft.. he sould be matched with silver5/b1 players, right? But I dont think that happens if he has tanked his MMR in blind.

Can anyone confirm or deny this through actual experience?

in ranked I get placed with high plat

in normals I get placed with silver/gold

as a plat 5

Not every queue has separate MMR. Twisted Treeline and Normal Draft Summoner's Rift would be different, but Normal Draft SR and Blind Pick SR have the same (it's the same exact mode). Ranked and Normal modes have separate MMR regardless of being on the same game mode.
