Why did you remove it seasons ago? Saying that "it gave too much burst" or "mages should not have to rely on one item" is complete bullshit, because that is EXACTLY what Duskblade does.
You've showed over and over that you're just gonna keep on adding damage to the game, so why not bring back DG, and actually give mages a chance to be played mid again (mid is dominated by ad assassins)?

This. I'm sick and tired of mages getting bullied out because of X item which is cheaper than any other mage item. Be it Tiamat or Duskblade, mages have so few options now to adapt to their enemies.

Don't worry Veigar will just stack up, have 300 AP with a boot and half a Luden's Echo and still kill you at 15 minutes. Just with a longer combo if you add in ignite.
Akali is SO HOT1 votesDuskblade is one instance of damage. DFG increased the damage of your entire combo by a whole 20% while giving 120AP and CDR. And for whatever reason the active also started off by doing 15% of your max health in magic damage. All in a 90 second cooldown. Syndra, Veigar, Leblanc, and friends could 100 - 0 full build tanks in less than a second with that item.
