PSA: Normal games are NOT there for you to play a champ for the very first time

With the inclusion of a practice tool and the already existing bot games, people have more than enough oppertunities to test their champ and at least learn the very basics / abilities before jumping into a normal game, feeding, losing the game for the rest of the team because unlike in the earlier seasons, the newer ones do not allow a single lane to be fed, without having it hypercarry the entire rest of the game because of the well known League of Damage meta that is going on.

Even worse is when people play a champ for the very first time and then proceed to continue to be aggressive instead of playing safe. That should not be an excuse to ruin the entire game.

The basics learnable in practice tool/bots are learnable in a normal game before minions even reach tower, and probably amounts to little more than reading the ability tooltips.

Beyond that you're more likely to learn the wrong things, since bots/dummies don't behave anything like humans. Really should bite the bullet and go into norms, since thats arguably the point of norms. It's first timing in ranked that is no bueno.

Perhaps not the very first time, like yeah probably should take em for a test run in practice tool/bots, but there's no where else to have your first real game as a certain champion.

It's normal. A realm to experiment.

Go take the tryhard attitude to ranked

Bots teach you nothing besides how to abuse the AI, and the practice tool is there for you to double down on things you already know and work on your timing.

Normals are where you learn to play a champion.
