URF Damage Reduction Annie
I'm just wanting to share a fun experience. This is by no means an optimal build, and while it may be enjoyable to replicate, I am sure it could be improved upon.
Playing AR URF the other day, I drew Annie. I'm not the biggest fan of Annie, but I do understand that she is strong.
I ended up being bottom lane with a Soraka against an Ashe and Orianna
We were getting our lady-bits kicked in, as would be expected from this matchup, so I decided to start looking into how I can build defensively. Which is what you should always do when behind.
I decided to max my Molten Shield first and realized that it offers 16 / 22 / 28 / 34 / 40% damage reduction and thorn magic damage from auto attacks. It is on a 10 second base cooldown at all ranks.
With 80% CDR that means it is only 2 seconds, ...
... but the shield lasts for 3 seconds. ...
Now the wheels are turning.
So if I took, this and Ninja Tabi, I'll constantly (as long as I keep spamming E) reduce Ashe's auto attack damage by 52% at 5 ranks, and all other forms of damage by 40%
Hmm, ... what other forms of damage reduction can I find. ..?
I wandered on over to Mr Rift Herald with my good pal, Tibbers, and took his buff. Now when I'm not near allies, I get an additional 5% damage reduction from all damage sources.
And lastly I picked up Phantom Dancer. There is another 12% damage reduction from the last target I have attacked.
So my final build was
I also topped off my consumable each time I backed.
So I was a pretty damn tanky little girl.
If I was isolated, and targeted someone, I would have 69% damage reduction from their auto attacks, before armor mitigation.
Which was perfect because their Ashe ended up being their most fed player, and I found it rather enjoyable to watch her kill herself.
The items are not really the best combination, I am certainly aware of that. I didn't really think of it in the heat of the game.
I honestly would have been better off if I had some bonus health (looking back I didn't even realize that I didn't haha) but still, it was rather fun.
