Wouldn't it suck to have your entire champion's kit countered by a single summoner spell?

Ignite, exhaust, ghost, flash, barrier, heal. Summoners can be considered a counter to just about any kit in the game.

You can use Grievous Wounds too.

That's kind of the idea behind summoner spells. If you get countered you have a way to deal with it outside of spending gold, albeit on a high cooldown.
